As for cross-bar assignment, I have all opo-opo/raptor/coeurl stance abilities in the same cross and just move from right to left (or left to right if that makes more sense to you). Haymaker is useful for solo but not so in group contents since you don't dodge most of the time (exceptions are rare like when fighting Vassagos in CT, you might dodge a few times).
You can still hit your positional moves if you move through the mobs instead of around the mobs. Take advantage of the mob slow turning speed, practice and eventually you'll get it. Twin Snakes gives you damage boost so you should keep it on even if you're not hitting for maximum potency. Demolish is better than Snap Punch if you let the DOT run its course and don't clip too early. Do not keep using them though. Force yourself a habit of rotating between Twin Snakes and True Strike in Raptor form (1 Twin 1 True), Demolish and Snap Punch in Coeurl form (as the DOT falls off) so later on, you'll be better in the party contents when you also rotate Dragon Kick and Bootshine.
