Why should they only put some things on it but leave out other things? If you're going to put out patch notes, put down everything that was changed.

This is a minor change to the game. This is like saying you won't eat at Burger King anymore because they changed the size of their ketchup packets without telling you.

Personally I don't mind the change, but as more people said; it would be nice to see a mention in the notes about it.

Yep. It's the fact that they would do this and not include a note about it. I'll learn to adapt but I feel like these sorts of changes should at least be announced (even if it's just a footnote) to the playerbase.
