It might be, they've expressed similar impressions of the NA forums before, and we do need to chill out but at the same time if only the complaints were taken more seriously IN beta maybe, just maybe we wouldn't be in such a mess now. Ironically.

Well what I got from the interview is that they are still very dedicated and optimistic about the game and its future 1.18+ going into the summer... and that they think the NA forum needs to chill out.

this is exactly what I figured. SE has been optimistic about the summer updates. I do agree that people just need to be patience.

It was well known 1.18 was always the start of the battle system overhauls. Even reading this it doesn't necessarily mean "The update that will change everything". It means another big step from just minor tweaks.

Put it this way: 1.18 is th efirst of many key updates to overhaul the system.
