6/8 Crafts at LV50; mold me

So like, I recently discovered that I can HQ most of my crafts from NQ materials with 80-100% success. (My leveled crafts are listed in my sig.) My "rotation" is Inner Quiet > Waste Knot II > Steady Hand (obv. I need II) > Innovation > BT 1 > BT II > BT III . . . then Careful Synthesis II until "1 away" and BT II once, then Hasty Touch (multiple times) > Byregot's Blessing > CS II to finish. You get the idea, I pray. Anyway, while this is boss on 8-step synths, I'm having trouble with 4-step recipes... Any reccomendations?

    Thanks.

If you make sure you have steady hand with 3 hits left, use Great Strides>Innovation>Byregot's you can get a significant quality advance toward the end of the synth when you have 6 or so Inner Quiet. I just got BSM to 50 recently so I haven't quite worked out the best time to use it, but Ingenuity II should be a big help as well.

I find CP becomes the limiting factor, so using Manipulation instead of Master's Meld can be helpful as it gives you a better chance to get CP returns. I tend to use Hasty Touch instead of other touches to save CP...but if you are unlucky, you can still end up with NQ items.

    Thank you!

Okay, yeah. I can see how CP could be a limiting factor... Like I said, my method works very well on the longer-stepped symths, but the 4-step synths don't seem to have enough steps for me... But, I'll play around with what you said. Thanks. ^^ Maybe something like... Inner Quiet > Waste Knot II > BT I/Hasty Touch/Manipulation (until 4ish IQ) > Steady Hand > 2 HT/BT I > Great Strides > Byregot's . . . something like that!

Its not perfect. It also depends upon how many Careful Synth 2's I need to finish.

    3 CS2 :
Comfort Zone, Inner Quiet, Careful Synthesis 2, Steady Hand 2, Waste Not, 3 Hasty Touch 1 Careful Synthesis 2 (CS2 on the first Normal or Poor found), Manipulation, Steady Hand 2, Waste Not, 4 Hasty Touch, *Best Touch*, Careful Synthesis 2.

    2 CS2 :
Comfort Zone, Inner quiet, Careful Synthesis 2, Steady Hand 2, Waste Not, 4 Hasty Touch, Manipulation, Steady Hand 2, Waste Not, 4 Hasty Touch, *Best Touch*, Careful Synthesis 2.

*Best Touch*, of course, refers to a Steady Hand, Innovation, Great Strides, Byregot's Blessing. Or whatever you can do to really boost the Byregot's.

Of course, if you find that you have enough CP, you can always start replacing the Hasty Touches with Basic Touches.

I recently hit 50 in all DoH myself, and have been enjoying making and selling HQ 1 star items... but haven't yet ventured into 2 star.

There's a thread about crafting rotations that I found very helpful;http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...Q-2-Star-Items

    Basically it's this:
Inner Quiet, Steady Hands II, Waste not, hasty touch, hasty touch, hasty touch, hasty touch, manipulation, Steady Hands II, Waste not, hasty touch, hasty touch, hasty touch, hasty touch, steady hands, ingenuity, great strides, byregots blessing, careful synth II, careful synth II.

This is rng dependent, but allows you to make HQ items when you don't have the stats as long as you have lots of CP

I also use comfort zone, and I'll use tricks of the trade if I get a "good" condition at the right time. Since I still have steady hand and ingenuity buffs after Byregots, I can use standard synth to complete the craft in ONE step of synthesis instead of two... which means you can add another hasty touch before byregots...

There's also a thread on hitting stat caps without specialized gear for every DoH; you can get there with a very carefully melded Patricians + Dodore set: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...he-DoH-classes

For 40 durability synths, I do:
    Comfort Zone
    Inner Quiet
    SteadyHand2
    WasteNot
    HTx4
    Manipulation
    SH2
    HT
    AdvancedTouch
    GreatStrides
    Byregots
(Ingenuity if doing 1 or 2-star)
    CarefulII

No CP melding needed. Sure, there is some variance in there with HT, but honestly, there is no sub in the game where the HQ matters. Even if you NQ a 2-star item like Rose Gold Ingot, when you do the 80 durability final product, it is ridiculously simple to HQ that.

Yeah, I'll be needing to get that CUL 50 ASAP.

HQ has been surprisingly simple even where I am now with 6/8 crafts. I haven't crafted any 2* items yet, but that's good to know. I'll have to give it a shot.

    thanks for the link, Simaril.

Well, shucks. ALC or CUL next, then? I suppose it doesn't matter in the long run.

    Alc and Cul were probably the two easiest to level. I beleive the triple turn-ins are really worth it in those two DoH;

For Alc, there's high potions at 25, horn glue at 30, and Lanolin at 40. For Cul chamomile tea at 25, cornmeal at 30, and applejuice at 40 are absurdly easy. In some cases, materials or finished products were so cheap that leveling through leves was profitable.
