Oh boy, this again. (Not directed at you OP) Please don't let this become another WHM vs. SCH war thread.
In general, WHM has easier AoE heals with Regen/Medica II and is more of a reactive healer with the ability to repair spike damage in one or two casts. SCH is more focused on damage mitigation (preemptive healer) with shields like Adloquium/Succor and Sacred Soil (10% less damage received). SCH also has fewer problems with enmity generation and MP due to Aetherflow and a lot of the heals coming from fairies. Both have their pros and cons so not going to get into the whole "which is better" business.
I personally find SCH to be more difficult to play because you have far more tools at your disposal, but I also find SCH more fun and rewarding to play because there's more action involved. I switch between the two freely because I feel certain content is way easier as one or the other (e.g. WHM for CT because Medica II makes King Behemoth's lightning field a joke, SCH for Titan HM because Sacred Soil and MP for raises if needed) ... it may also be because I haven't fully mastered SCH yet. >.>

From all the threads that I have read so far, WHM could be similar to PLD and SCH to WAR.
They both are very good, with WHM being the more basic in its execution and great AoE heals, and SCH being more complex in its execution (more parts, more combos) and great in mitigation as well as individual heals. In a party of 8, they compliment each other perfectly when played well off of each other.
But I have only begun healing and took the WHM path, so no offense is meant to WHM or SCH by the above.
Pretty much what he said. From all the threads that I have read so far, WHM could be similar to PLD and SCH to WAR.

Now what is more "fun" to play is completely up to you, it really could be either. I'm personally a WHM and SCH isn't my cup of tea but I like it more when my duty partner is a SCH because things seem to work incredibly smoother that way.
You say to not let this become another WHM vs SCH but with ending your post like that you can spark it.I personally find SCH to be more difficult to play because you have far more tools at your disposal, but I also find SCH more fun and rewarding to play because there's more action involved. WHM is a reactive healer. No mitigation outside of Stoneskin and Protect (both really powerful though). Big heals that are supposed to be used to patch up damage. Powerful AoE heals
SCH is a pro-active healer. Mitigation and damage reduction are the SCHs strength. Together with the pet it's also a job that is powerful on keeping a single target up during movement thanks to Lustrate and pet heals.
SCH is quite the buffer while WHM is all about big slower casting heals.
For new content SCH can be harder to play because it asks for you to know the fight in order to apply migitation and debuffs properly when needed. WHM is more forgiving if you don't know the fight since you can patch up damage.
More fun to play, that is up to the invididual.
Some people prefer the straight forward healing of the WHM and others prefer to micro manage all the different skills and pets of the SCH.
You need to test for yourself which if the two is better for your play-style.
