    He probably needs to delete the character files under Documents/My Games/FINAL FANTASY XIV

    Make a copy of it before doing so because he will lose actions bar configuration by doing this.

    He is on a PS3, can you do that from a ps3?

    Na, that's windows fix. There must be a way in PS3.

    Thanks guys, all I needed to do was delete that corrupted save file.. got back on the game after I deleted it and the game pulled up just fine. I lost my configuration settings and everything, but WAY better than losing my progress!
