Character config is corrupted

Hey, my buddy has a character on Balmung named Raphael'a and he got this message yesterday when trying to log in, during the character selection screen he clicks on his character and it says the character config data is corrupted

I told him to contact SE support, but has anyone else ran into this?

He cant log into his character at all, he can make a new character and play that fine, he also tried deleting the game and doing a complete reinstall but that didn't work

If anyone can help out at all or ran into this any help would be appreciated

He probably needs to delete the character files under Documents/My Games/FINAL FANTASY XIV

Make a copy of it before doing so because he will lose actions bar configuration by doing this.

He is on a PS3, can you do that from a ps3?

Na, that's windows fix. There must be a way in PS3.

Thanks guys, all I needed to do was delete that corrupted save file.. got back on the game after I deleted it and the game pulled up just fine. I lost my configuration settings and everything, but WAY better than losing my progress!

We got it figured out it was the ps3 save file of data thankyou!!
