Yeah, that diagram was very helpful. It's nice to have a visual sometimes, even if the issue at hand (like the problems with the world design) is already pretty obvious.

I'm glad! Thank you.
If I may express another thought, I'd like to say that I feel that dungeons, as in FF11 (Or WoW, or..) should be able to feel as if it were a milestone, as well.
No future dungeons should feel like you were entering a different corner of the zone. The zone you were just leaving. They, I believe, also need their own, unique personality - a dungeon different than all the ones you've visited before it.
You should never feel like you've been there before upon your first visit.
And sometimes, the dungeons branched from the cities themselves. Sometimes, they were more deadly than the zones they branched from.
Our world needs diversity. As someone had said before, we should not only have to peak around the corner, we should look forward to it.
Any thoughts welcomed.

I've been keeping up with this thread, just lurking in the background, since it only had a few replies, and I've read every single one of them since then. I don't really have anything to add that hasn't been said already, but thank you to Siobu and everyone else who has contributed so much already. This is probably, by far, my biggest concern with the game.
Keep up the great work!![]()
I second that, been reading following the thread since the first post and well I think this is my biggest concern as well, even before the combat system I'd say. So much that I even came to realize that I'm not at all motivated to keep playing the game, I really hope their bandaid patch 1.18 can at least alleviate some of this until they actually redesign and give the maps some love. I love what the game has the potential to become, it's just not there right now.I've been keeping up with this thread, just lurking in the background, since it only had a few replies, and I've read every single one of them since then. @Siobu
Just suggestion but on your first post you should edit it and add the images you made so everyone can see/find it easier. I can just click your name and look at your previous posts to find it but doubt some in here knows how to do that if it's their first time reading this thread.
Good thread BTW![]()
I definitely agree! I worried that if I were to edit my first post, that it would lose the 'likes' and possibly the attention of the reps. I didn't want to risk every one's hard work. Of course, if I'm wrong, I'd gladly add them.![]()
Thank you!

WTH that sucks, didn't know that you lose all the "Likes" if you edited the post
/stare Square-Enix - FIX IT!!! lol

You can rest assured that if you edit your post, you won't lose any of the "Likes!"
You can edit another post of yours with only a few "Likes!" and test this for yourself, haha.

Siobu, I will add the picture links to my post (directly after the OP) if you don't want to edit it, or you can always put **EDIT** at the bottom to include pictures and notify the only part that's changed... I don't see an issue with that, myself.
Thank you, Eden!
To any late arrivals just now clicking 'last', we also have a German thread:
