Any official response on Ancient Buckler (i90 blm shield to go with 1H coil weapon)

I apologize if this has been answered officially. I did search for the answer via the forums and the general interwebs, but I didn't find anything solid.

Has there been any dev response to the issue of BLM receiving a 1H weapon in coil? Will the shield (that currently has not been found to exist in the game) also be getting a buff to i95? Will the 1H weapon get an extra boost to put it on par with the other i95 coil weapons?

Nothing has been said, but logic would lead us to believe that the shields will come in 2.1, given the current end-game gearsets. Likely part of a reward for Primal EX fights or Treasure hunting (as these are the only conceivable content which would drop ilvl90 loot).

Edit: Personally I doubt treasure hunting will yield ilvl90s, as from what we've seen the content is done in small parties (4-man in the trailer).

They can't boost the stats on the 1H weapons because you can equip a shield with them and it would give them a distinct advantage over 2H. On that note however, I would like a response on this as well. At least the i95 buff will plant the scepter firmly as BiS with the crafted shield on offhand, but it will technically still lag a teensy bit behind the rest. Oddly, PLD is in a similar of not as critical a place after the patch assuming the Allagan Round Shield isn't buffed to i95 (Turn 1 drop and all).

Well that would make sense if the 1H weapon carried the same base stats as a comperable 2h weapon. However, you currently need an i90 offhand to compliment the i90 weapon to bring it on par with the relic weapon. By itself, the 1H allagan is a downgrade from the stardust rod.

Nope, there's been no official repsonse and probably never will be because they don't usually tell you how to get loot.

The lvl90 mage shields are not allagan weapons so probably wont be buffed but you never know. It's pretty irrelevant until they become obtainable anyway.

SE Dev's probably realize how utterly stupid they made themselves look by letting this monumentally absurd issue persist after release, for several months. Unfortunately, this just means theyre going to be completely silent about it until they eventually fix it. If theres one thing MMOs have taught me, its that when a problem exists, its much easier for the Devs to ignore it for months, and pretend it doesnt.
