My very best example, is not the dodge. People can say, "You need to be out of the red before the cast bar completes" or "the animation is poor" or whatever.

My example is my chocobo. If I was on PC, I would make a video to demonstrate. So Since I can't I will just try my best to explain:

When my choco is summoned and it is following me, it will get lost. I'll turn around and it will be standing in a camp, just hanging out. I'll run to a fate and it won't follow. I'll tell it to follow and it will stay there. I see it standing there on the mini map. OK, stupid bird, stand there...

I run off and do the fate, but since my bird is in healer stance, I'm receiving heals. I'm receiving them from an invisible bird. I look at the mini map and it is still standing next to the crystal in Quarrymill. But I'm receiving the heals.

But if I pop open the main map, I can see my bird is right there next to me. I can also see my bird pulled aggro.

What this tells me is the netcode that updates locations is corrupt. The client is not receiving correct location data from the server, which clearly knows the true position.

So how does this apply to missing a dodge? Because the client isn't receiving correct location data: whether mob, pet, players, boss, attack....

Oh and resummon fixes the lost bird for a time.

Love to all,
