Thread: FFXIV Netcode still bad 2.0

Well, I'm not going anywhere and I have another video for SE to pile on the evidence that they need look at their client server communication:

I was locked in a Cure animation. Watch the slowed down version. My character turns direction as soon as the Weight animation appears, but I'm forced to wait until the end of the cast before I can move.

Get better Internet
I live in Montréal. I could probably walk to the servers if I knew where they were. And I have the best Internet my ISP can offer.

Get a better computer
My computer is well within the recommended specs, recommended by the development team (GTX660, i7, 8 gigs ram.)

You're just bad. Learn the fight

I live in Malaysia, i have never experience anything you said :O

so yea, is probably only NA/EU servers, JP servers seems no problem i guess... ><

Reality_Check, thank you for posting that which I cannot.

They seriously need to fire the guy who designed this, its soooo bad, or at least do some research and understanding on better techniques, it isnt rocket science... but it probably wont ever be fixed... it never got fixed in Aion and that had same crap. I go on WoW/Gw2 and its so delicious, its so fast, its so responsive, its netcode is designed properly.

Doesnt matter, i just cant wait to see how bad PVP will be due to this gunna be fun.

It actually looks to me like you are not out of the Weights in time, which I think is mostly attributable to SE's deceiving AoE animations, as in, you need to be out of the circle before it BEGINS to fade.

idk bout that, but when i saw it, i ran out and im perfectly fine, and im on 100ms++ as well.... .
