About the MP on WHM...

hi all Mizuue here pleased to meet you ..

So i thought posting a thread about this..

I been thinking about it since ever i started with my conjurer now WHM, the thing is MP burns to fast while on dungeons sometimes... even on primals (but on primals we have bards on them and so on which is not that bad so it helps with our mp).
The thing is everytime i go dungeon my mp goes down like hell even with the shroud of the saints to increase the mp regen.. ok it helps... but still its horrible specially on speed runs... Im saying this because most of the times i can get hold of my mp and i can manage without wasting to much but other times its like a drain...

what you guys think about this?? in my opinion we should have MP regeneration like some other classes have...would be helpful on battles and not just the shroud of saints that is a good skill but still to me its not enough.

I agree that sometimes, especially if trying to do speed runs that shrouds just doesn't cut it. Without a bard , your mp takes a hit fast. My thaum can go from 30mp to full in a couple seconds pretty much whenever I want, but whm have to wait forever on the cool down for shroud.

When not doing speed runs and playing normally and you don't have a very under geared tank tho, its not so much a problem. And SE isn't really a fan of speed runs as we all know with the changes to dungeons. So it is probably working as intended and won't really change sadly

it's more an issue on the team i think if they're taking massive damage...

Its just one of those things you gotta learn to manage as a whm. I dont really run out of mp unless the party/tank is taking heavy dmg or i contantly spam cure II. Otherwise mp isnt a problem even on primal fights without a bard.

WHM's MP management is gawd awful and seriously imbalanced compared to Scholar. Any fight not requiring AoE heals then WHM is pretty useless. Even then scholars can AoE heal good enough. On the plus side Holy is freaking awesome!

I find getting gear that strengthens your healing spells helps (the one stat that eludes me as servers are down).

I had trouble burning through MP if I havd to constantly chain heal the tank. Or always rez .. or Esuna .. Regen .. etc.

I think it is also how well the group is geared. A piss poor geared tank .. won't matter how many MP you have.

Keep in mind, I am not 50 yet or do speed runs.

Yeah those speed runs X.X

but hey, you cant really speed run without a bard....(well you can but not as fast or smoothly).
