Makes me wonder what sort of second job they're planning to come off of MRD now (or if this is a hint that they aren't anymore). I realize they can alter abilities as they need as far as enmity is concerned but a grappling move? Seems interesting.

You do realize we might get pushed to offtank in 8 man raids and 4 man dungeons we will not be wanted anymore cause WARs will potentially take more damage then PLDs. But that is just speculating, We may still be able to ge in those top groups depending on the situations.
For 8-player content, they'll look identical overall, and specific roles will depend on the specifics of the encounter. WAR won't MT T4. WAR will, however, be built to rock Titan's... rocks. For 4-player content, either will be fine for clearing it, but PLD will still dominate the hell out of speed runs. This has more to do with how the reductions are implemented and how the encounter is designed. Some content will favor PLD, some will favor WAR, and it'll be pretty much impossible for either to be effectively locked out of any content one way or the other. You do realize we might get pushed to offtank in 8 man raids and 4 man dungeons we will not be wanted anymore cause WARs will potentially take more damage then PLDs. I'm excited for the buffs. I'm shocked that people would think the minds behind making this game wouldn't want to think of every class complimenting each other, as sure as I am that they only want to make the Warrior outclass the Paladin (sarcasm intended). As playing as both Warrior and Paladin, I'm glad to know that I can switch back and forth, happily knowing that BOTH CLASSES have their strengths and weaknesses over the other.
I'm also glad to see that Yoshida had said that the buff's weren't set in stone, since there was still testing required, probably so continual tests could be completed to make sure that the Paladin and Warrior compliment each other.
I'm just curious, what exactly is wrong with being an off tank? If you get pushed to being one in some encounters, is that a bad thing? Should warrior just stay there so that paladins can be Main tank on everything? You do realize we might get pushed to offtank in 8 man raids and 4 man dungeons we will not be wanted anymore cause WARs will potentially take more damage then PLDs. I don't exactly understand what you are getting at in this post.
When you have 2 tanking classes that are balanced, and are in the same raid, no one straight puts one of the offtanks there because it's somehow slight inferior. There are many factors for assigning offtanks. Connection, gear, skill are all taking into consideration along with the actual duties required of the Main Tank and Offtank. An offtank for one boss could be main tank on the next. Asking to always be maintank is selfish and is how unbalanced things are right now.
PALLY FOR LIFE!!!!!!! <3
I 100% agree with this as how things should be.When you have 2 tanking classes that are balanced, and are in the same raid, no one straight puts one of the offtanks there because it's somehow slight inferior. This is not how things have been and I'm not sure this is how things will be after 2.1 but this is the dynamic that should be.
Who is better, who is main tank or who is off tank; all this should be dependent on the situation, the skill level of the players and player preference.
yah, it make me sad when I was helping Hydra with my 6k base hp War and they had 5k base hp PLD with unfinished Curtana do main tanking. Asking to always be maintank is selfish and is how unbalanced things are right now.I have to turn off Defiance and take Triumvate so that I won't pull aggro from him.
edit: the point of my post is it make me sad when people blindly favor one class by not looking at gear performance![]()

You do realize that the choice of main tank and off tank is based on who's gear is stronger, who's skill is better and such.. Right? And the buff warriors get makes them on par with paladin in my opinion, shizz we get a gimped version of hallowed ground and can't block but I'm content with this, we're equal to paladins now.You do realize we might get pushed to offtank in 8 man raids and 4 man dungeons we will not be wanted anymore cause WARs will potentially take more damage then PLDs. As TowerDeschain said.. its player's gear, skill, and such that decides who is main tank and off tank.. Not because of buffs.
