I have written an open letter to Square Enix, posted on this forum, as a last hope that they will address this issue.

As I said in its introduction, please don’t see this « open letter » of mine as a diversion from the effort put into maintaining this thread; for it is solely aimed at the next « Letter from the Producer LIVE » (November 22, 2013). Should we get an answer on the netcode issue, it will have served its purpose; should we not, that thread of mine will simply be put to rest as yet another failed attempt at grabbing this publisher’s attention. We will know, ten days from now, what I will personally consider as their definitive stance —as well as mine, for what it’s worth (admittedly not much, but you can’t blame one for trying hard).

And if you bothered to read the thread, along with various replies, you would understand that the issue itself is not lag, and is in the coding. Lag aggravates it, but is not the cause. If you fix the cause, then latency fluctuations are suddenly no longer a problem. There is an accepted bug in the accepted bug forums of the problem. So you could try giving that a read too, instead of coming in and trying to dismiss something that is obviously an issue.

I am quite bummed, the game is beautiful and enjoyable, but there were a few fights for me that just seemed too unfair due to this.

My thoughts exactly. I am just about this close |---| to going back to WoW because of this ongoing issue. That's not an "Ooh you're losing my sub money big threat!!" statement, it's an "I'm depressed to say this because if I didn't think WoW was boring as Hell I wouldn't have left, but at least when I get out of the s**t in that game, I know I'm out of the s**t" one.

FFXIV is a complete trash game. So many bugs.

1.Turn 5 shutdown cause people are abusing it and bugging out the boss.
2.The combat is slow. You like fun speed runs, nah we cant have this. We are going to put more mobs in and put up walls to prevent your fun.
3.Lvling an ALT is paining. Example .You wana lvl an Alt ah the only way is fate grinding *BORING*.
4.Even though the game was released with the abiltiy to have every job and class on one toon. Doing it is painful as hell and end game horrid cause of lockouts and myth caps
4.Titan hard mode. Sorry you must pay for your run cause we cant fix our problematic .3 second lag so your always going to get hit no matter where you stand.

GG TRASH GAME. AGAIN BACK TO WOW.

Expect this game to go F2P cause SE wont fix these issues cause they simply dont care and dont know how to make a proper MMO with actual end game.

Why don't we all just report this as a bug. I am sure if each one of the 45 pages of players here reported it, it would get a response.

Its to bad all the bugs spoken about are actually in accepted bugs.
It just shows SE has no idea how to fix there game

If you report a bug, they'll just close it after a couple of days if there are no more responses in the thread saying that issue looks fixed.

If you want to make a statement, get everyone to open a new thread for their issue in the tech forum. If the forum gets flooded with unique threads from a large group of people, they'll have to react somehow.
