If you are truly getting lag, it's most likely not on SE's end, unless the other 7 players said they got it too in that particular instance. I know people much farther away from the servers than me, I get 180-200ms, both of us can dodge fine. Is there a known issue with the server delay between clients? Yes, but I've never had "lag" that some seem to whine about.

Just because it doesn't happen to you doesn't mean it's non existent. I've had lag issues when my net is perfectly fine on some instances during the game and it's usually after their patches or someone else I know will have it, but it doesn't affect me until a few days later. It's there, it's like the 90k error that happened before the last patch, I only got it once when many others were getting it about 10-20 times a day.

I get slammed with lag in instances monday to tuesday and late night wendsday and it is always during those times but after that (when people get their cap and stop farming so much) the lag goes away and all is good. The kind of lag iam talking about is the mobs and people stand still then all the sudden jump to where they should be.

Lag is definitely existent. I usually noticed it a couple of weeks ago every evening from 7-10pm GMT. One time this was happening, we were running Stone Vigil and we wiped on the final boss 4 times because NOBODY was able to evade the AOEs even though everybody had done the boss multiple times before. Everybody in the party could clearly see that everybody else was timing it right and getting out of the way well before the AOE should register but still getting hit.

This dragged on until after 10pm and bam, the lag wave subsided. We succeeded immediately on the 6th try.

Lately it hasn't been so bad. In about 95% of the cases when I play, I am sure that is my fault when I get hit by AOEs. But there are situations when I have to call BS; where I basically know I'm about to get targeted by an AOE, already start moving in advance like a psychic, and STILL get hit even if I use sprint.

People wouldn't complain if they weren't taking this despite having a good internet speed/connection.

"fix server-side lag issues" and "make the game easier" are two completely different things.

First, i'm talking about the people who cry lag in something like Titan, and blame it on SE, yet pretty much all the other people in that SAME instance, are not lagging. I have experienced server lag before, and I have experienced lag due to my connection. I know to ask everyone else to help determine if it's me or not.

Second, that link, isn't lag. That's server delay. Related in some ways, but not quite the same as the "lag" people claim to have quite often. Not to mention, I, with ~200ms, and a friend on the East Coast of the US who plays on JP servers(So his ping is even higher) can dodge everything Titan throws at us. So while, yes, that issue in the link needs to be fixed, it does not prevent proper dodging.

They had and still have this obnoxious behavior with FFXI, and it continued on to this game. They just simply don't give a care about their players. The game could end up getting near it's death like with FFXI currently, but they still won't do anything to entice their fans. The playerbase is shrinking on FFXIV, it's not dead yet, but all this blatant uncaring and condescending tone they respond to us with is enough to make me skip out on this game. They best clean up their act soon because there are plenty of other options out there and we don't need to be treated like we're 4 years old when it comes to updates or tweaks.

I've fought Titan hard many times and there have been times I've been hit because I lost focus for a split second and there were times I've been hit and it was purely lag. Zooming out on those fights is pretty much required if you plan to win. Hopefully they do get the lag/network issues handled soon because I experience them every afternoon.
