I'd just like to note that being moved to "Accepted Bugs" means that the report was accepted for SE to investigate, and NOT that they have admitted to it being a bug. A mod elaborated on this in another thread, though I can't remember which one.
To all those people with lag, stop your downloads and make sure people are not watching TV, youtube etc.

I lag constantly whenever there's a handful of players around me. By lag I mean actions don't register, the picture stops, my macros skip a step and lag - like a latency of some 3 seconds between my input and the output. I don't think it is because of my internet connection, but because I'm on a old PS3. Then again, sometimes I don't. I never had this problem during the Betas, and I only noticed it right after they fixed all of the errors in September.
He doesn't mind us conducting trials so close to his bazaar, so long as he's properly compensated... Yes, Portus, we pay him in sorcery-blasted bird flesh. - Cocobygo

I'll just quote myself again. Maybe it will register in someone's thick skull.

Good @ everything Nero? This game is so dumbed down a child could play it and still win. It's not that "Oh an orange circle hmmmm what do i do?" It's a delay from when it shows up till it actaully hits. Now i did have issue with my net in the past i will admit, but everything has been replaced, even have a router/modem combo designed for online gaming. And while i play other online games i have no issues. I've been playing GTA:Online a lot lately and have no lag issues on that, so why do i get so much lag on FFXIV?

OP is QQ'ing. In almost every MMORPG I've tried ppl blame dying on server lag, when it's just their own ISP that's at fault. That and bad gaming. But I suppose it's the modern day version of "MY CONTROLLER'S BROKEN!"
Why do people seems to be like
- It's your ISP fault, deal with it
- the problem is ON YOUR SIDE, not the server
- You suck, dodge better, learn to play with delay
- etc etc
God damn, I've played various MMORPG, with all theirs mechanic, I never see a game where dodging is so hard as this one. Learn to play with delay? Great, this is the first game where delay are considered to be a part of game mechanic...

For serious. I played TERA as a Warrior tank and Priest at max level. I want people to go play that then tell me I need to L2D...pretty sure that games mechanics made me a pro at it to the point that other games feel slow.

I've fought Titan numerous times, both as a main tank and a gimped PLD DPS in DF groups.
I have NEVER had this "lag" people keep blaming for their badness. I rarely get hit with AoE (when I'm not tanking), and when I do it's my own damn fault for not paying attention. Why haven't I gotten a victory after a month of trying? Because I'm dependent on seven other people who for some reason always seem to be caught off guard by Titan's attacks, despite the fact that they happen in the SAME ORDER EVERY TIME. So they run around like headless chickens, get killed, then blame "lag".
Good for Yoshi-P for having the balls to speak out against the "lag is SE's fault" myth.
