Hello!

I bet this has been brought up before but it can for sure be brought up again and again untill taken care off... How about give us in the EU a... you know an EU-server? As it is now i dont find it acceptable to have 200+ms for a subscriptionbased mmo. Are there any specefic reason why there isnt any already? There cant be any GOOD reason for it soo... It almost feel liek playing swtor allover with the ability-delay this madness brings...

So.. .Square-Enix... Do YOU care about the huge EU-playerbase or?

Dude, a 5 second search on these (or any other forums) will reliably tell you which of the NA/EU servers have a higher concentration of EU players. Specifically Excalibur, Ragnarock, Odin and Moogle.

To OP:

I think the reason why we dont have our own datacenter is, because there arent as much EU players as NA, its all about cost and SE probaly thinks that the cost to buy a new datacenter is not worth it with the current EU players.

SE cares, but they are a company and they need to make money.

Maybe not but its still a huge issue... Just because you put your head in the sand doesnt make the problem go away, does it?
And i know im not the first to bring this up and i sure hope im not the last one either since this is an important thing to bring
to their attention untill fixed. And considering they got way more players than they ever imagined its just pure greed and beeing
cheap to not open up an center in EU. I would be happy to accept it quietly if this was a f2p-kind of game, but since its not
i will continue to bring this up every now and then... No matter how exciting it is for you...

In my FC it seems like its mostly dsl-users and below that have this insane laaag. Those with fiber (100mbit+) have way less.

The lag does not just effect the EU.It is generally worse because of the geographical positioning but when SE have not replied to this thread - http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...-fix-something - that shows the intrinsic lag built into the game effecting players who are not far from the data centres despite hitting 120+ pages... I don't see that this thread has much hope of any kind of official response.

It is a classic way to reduce latency on online game, and it still doesn't change the fact that EU datacenter would be good but you can try to deactivate the Nagle Algorithm on your computer.
