Agreed. Defense leves are mind-bogglingly stupid.
Some one mentioned leves where never ending waves of mobs come at you. This is what the defense leves should be like IMO. Not 2 waves of 2-3 mobs. Once a wave is down another should appear. 3 waves of mobs that repeat at higher levels until the leve ends.

Guildleves are pretty "Content light." Easy for the player to get in get out. Most can be done in a 10 min period.
How would you feel if they introduced guildleves that lasted the full 30 min? I imagine they would work something like this:
Your leve targets spawn and upon defeat, another wave spawns fairly close by, and again and gain, Every 5th Spawn a mini-NM spawns. You are rewarded at the end of the 30 min based on how many "waves" you've defeated.
These leves would be more oriented to party play, and replace the "camp and grind" type mechanics.
Maybe offer 2-3 of these each day make them non-linkable so if you get a group of 4 members you have at least 4 hours of consumable content.
If you lack the time to complete 2 or 3 - 30 min leves, you can still pick up the standard leves which can be done solo in 10-15 min sessions.
I personally would love to see something like this implemented. I believe it'd foster a nice group play community and be fairly easy and inexpensive to implement on the development side.
yeah agreed, i dont' do these anymore i just do the "Good" ones lol. but when i did those i would 100% agree boring and not enough mobs, only challenging one is the one in limsa where it takes into a mine field of spiders that aren't part of it. (but that one is impossible solo) but i don't believe in doing things solo in mmo's. either way they need way more pops during the time, lots of em, more the stars the more that pop. i rather see star difficutly go toward more mobs then harder mobs, cause harder mobs is just hitting it more and just as boring.
i made a post long time ago way b4 this game launched but the way this leve works is how i would of loved to see regular grinding work. going from location to locations that pop lots and lots of different types of mobs from them. that way it can get crazy if not kill quick enough, and also different mobs are forced into the equations, and different class types of mobs and the such can all come porring out at u b4 u move onto another spot. even making each mob in the game at grind spots can be the concept of a pop spot, kill first mob and it will begin the down pore of mobs.
I think 1.18 will include leve reward balancing. hopefully they noticed those were so stupid and are doing something about them too.
