@ Wobble : I was going to say don't pay attention to the nay sayers because your issue is definitely a real one. It's true we all for the most part rarely had real lag issues except once in awhile. After the last maint to patch rmt activities which didn't stop them btw, we have had this weird server lag. I say weird because it is much diff and worse than normal lag we get. It happens in and out of instances where as before it was mostly confined to instances and the Odin/Beh pops. Now it seems to be world wide and no matter what zone your in. You lag this time because if you take your mouse and look at the network icon in your top right screen, you will see s and r with numbers.
Most of the time if you are lagging in crafting or gathering the s or the r is 0 or both. Why you don't just dc is beyond me but you don't and your numbers actually might go back to normal. However they will bounce to 0 once again. This is not a peak time of day thing as it will happen anytime during the day or night. This is also not necessarily an ISP issue though in defense of the trolls it can be ISP or your internet once in awhile. After doing a thorough check and system diagnostic on my end to include reloading one pc with fresh windows and min install on software.
I have also certified my connection using pingtest.net and dslreports for jitter, latency, packet loss. All have shown me to have A+ connection with less than 1ms jitter and 0 packet loss. It is not my ISP throttling me nor my internet route or connection. I also have done tracerts to the SE ip address on the forums where the servers are listed in Canada. NO issue. 32ms or less ping times using default packet size and all the way up to a 1500 packet size. Not my issue. SE def has problems. Not sure if they are fixing them or not. Too many ppl claim to be perfect when in fact they may not be and just cannot tell. It's hard to say. Also the lag spike or freeze up or w/e you want to call it is random. It will not hit 100% ppl 100% time.
