I am having this same issue. I used to experience lag in dungeons, but it was minimal, hardly noticeable. However, for the past week it has been nearly unplayable. I really want to play this game but it's impossible. It lags so much I can't do anything. I have tried to turn off the effects, but it doesn't improve at all. I had subscribed to 3 months from the beginning, but I just cancelled my sub. When it runs out I will just look around the forum to see how the lag is, but I'm not going to spend more money if I can't play the game.

Decided to check back this morning to see if the game was playable. Nope.. ppl teleporting around town, freezing, running at super speed, then stopping. Cant gather without DC, cant do dungeons.

What really pisses me off is that there are so many ppl unaffected that they continue to try to treat you as if the issue is really your fault, and on your end. SE needs to get this sorted. I will keep checking each day until my free time is up, but if I cant play in a day or two that time will be up and I will no longer be able to check. And I wont be paying for the ability to check to see if the game is working.

Yesterday night when I was playing the game was as smooth as could be though the healer in my party for a dungeon was getting a lot of lag and he got DCed eventually. The lag didn't subside for him at all even when he relogged.

Today though, early in the morning around 9:00am EST everything was running smoothly. Cue when I relogged at 2:30pm/3:00pm EST, it's so laggy I can barely get anything done. Yesterday when I was playing at the same time, I experienced no lag at all, but again, today it's so bad it's unplayable. All I was doing was crafting, I can't imagine actually trying to dungeon or do quests with how bad it was. I'll be giving it another go later tonight and I hope the lag's fixed itself at least on my end, but with this thread, I'm starting to wonder if it's not really on my end after all.

I agree with you 100%. I really enjoy this game and want to play it, but I cannot. I want to be angry, but i'm not, i'm sad. Oh well, ::looks to Wildstar::

I am also looking to WildStar, however I have almost no faith in NCSoft after GW2.... So here is to hoping.

Well.. checked back today. Tried doing a Leve. Took forever to harvest a single node, and before the Leve ended 90000k again. I will keep checking back until my time ends.. (the 5th I believe). But if I still cant play by them I will not be subbing. Cant even pick flowers....... ridiculous.

me and my fc had the same problems and we tried wtfast and game is playable again, just to clarify, between betas and launch just before they reopened the sales everything was fine. After sales reopened i cannot play without wtfast. Give it a shot, at least as a temporary measure.

I have been seeing this nasty lag in the afternoon as well. High end gaming rig with 30Mb internet. Put your cursor over the connection status and don't be surprised to see either really high numbers or a zero at send, receive, or both at times. It's horrible. Trying to mine I'll click on the item I want to collect, sit and wait, seconds later I swing my pick, several seconds later the item is in my inventory. It's as if instead of actually adding new capacity SE is trying to push their existing infrastructure to its absolute limit. Well I think they found it. Add some more god damn hardware already before people start quitting over this stupid crap.

I think SE knows at this point that they messed up so much that there will be a massive population drop off very soon here as free time ends. I am sure they are just waiting to see what server population numbers will be at that point, then go from there. You have to assume that they are watching the current fallout, and expecting even more here in just a few days.
