I have quite liked that naming conventions from both XI and XIV; there are countless mythological references from civilizations the world over, especially with regards to monsters. It seems that using Latin for scholar would make more sense given the title of the class, but continuity of their naming conventions would be a nice thing, regardless of which language they choose.
It would probably sound really odd to laypeople if they actually used proper Latin forms for things though. I mean, using nouns for actions just strikes me as odd; I feel that the naming of actions should take a verbal form. How do you conjugate it though? Using a present infinitive form would make the most sense, but then everything would end in -re...
