I would accept this rule , but defiance on the xbox , Does battles bigger then this and . They had a lot more players on and more bigger explosions, just might get little lag, But you were still able to play that games massive fights with limited issues after the first 2 weeks. Were now on like what 4 weeks here? lame can not fight odin or behometh. Or got to skip half the fate when exping.

You buy the game for PS3 assuming you will actually be able to play the game on PS3. I didn't read anywhere on my copy that I would not be able to play certain content. It's a scam that they have not even attempted to fix.

Uh, for what it's worth even PC players can't see Odin or Behemoth most of the time unless you're right in their faces, and you're chancing certain death being that close.
They've already said they're going to address the display priority issue for Odin and Behemoth, they just haven't given a specific date yet. -

Yes, they have said they are working on it. That doesn't change the fact that it should have been fixed yesterday... It's been a month, and what should be a simple fix doesn't even have a date. The only reason I am not totally bent over it is because I know they are working on lots of things at once. Something THIS broken deserves an "emergency maintenance" kind of fix, instead of a vague tbd one, however.
Nothing can currently make this fate tolerable on ps3. You can turn off everything; character names, floating dmg txt, spells, effects in motion, hp bars... And instead of rendering more players and mobs, the stupid code instead renders more garuda's, chocobos and the totally pointless 50 flame circles and shadowflares that lag even my high end pc. When I tell the game to show spell effects = none I mean NONE.
Toss in the goofy lvl 10-20 players who flock to odin, or the goofier lvl 30ish ones who swarm behemoth... They cannot get gold in the encounter, even if they did their own max dps for the entire fight. That doesn't stop them from adding to the problem though.
The cherry on top is the lame wait time to even see the bosses. I had two lvl 50's before I even had the chance to fight behemoth once, just because I never knew the fight was happening. By the time I could buy the spear for my DRG, it was no longer worth wearing. Now the same has also happened to my PLD with zantetsuken. -

im aware of the large fates being non-playable because you cant see anything lol so i usually just jump in fates at night ONLY.
ive fought odin twice as a melee/ps3 player. i try to follow the crowd or stream of blue arrows towards an invisible object and pray to get a hit on.
trying to hit a sliding horseman and seeing no animations for ur moves is kinda funny. haven't gotten more than a silver tho :(
Even healing in svara is funny. I'll just be like "srry man, i cant see you" lol -

Just as a heads up for those of you who plan to continue playing on PS3:
Their fix for the Odin/Behemoth fate is to set priority rendering only for those fates. All the other large FATE issues we have (e.g. not being able to hand in FATE items because we can't find the NPC, not being able to tag mobs to get credit for FATEs because they're dying to fast) will not be addressed.
Playing FATES in this game on PS3 is horrible in general. Not just Odin/Behemoth, though these seem to be the gamebreakers. -

I honestly haven't had huge glaring issues with fates, except Behemoth. I've reliably been see Odin throughout entire fights. I think this is due to having nametags turned off.

If it were just Behemoth or Odin, I could deal with it. It is ALL Fates unless I am already at the spot well before everyone else. I can't get past lvl 42 because I am stuck having to sync to Fates 10 levels lower than me because I can camp the Fate without worrying about dying.
I have every setting known to man turned off and it still doesn't help. It pisses me off to play the game and then go watch my brother play on PC. He doesn't have ANY of these issues. -

In my experience, joining in Large Fates can be difficult, but there are solutions for PS3 players that you can exploit in order to get a boss to display. Firstly, get close to where you think their body is. While this may put you in harm's way, it is a sure fire way to get them to appear since the game has to prioritize an enemy that is threatening to hit you with an avoidable attack. You can also join parties, which will not only allow you to heal the members of your team regardless of whether or not they're displayed, but it'll also make it easier to get gold.
Keep in mind that the PS4 is an even stronger beast than the PS3 and will undoubtedly have few issues with the game barring those that are server-based. -

I can stand on top of Svara in that FATE and NEVER see it. Once I was able to get over 20k xp out of that quest, now, I'm lucky to see 2k. And that is only because one of the adds appeared and I could get a few whacks in.
When I can't see the boss, I start casting Cure. I look for the tank and start healing the tank. But this only yields xp IF you were able to smack the add or a boss once.
Someone mentioned not being able to see the FATE turn-in NPC. That "just" started happening to me last night. And for the past week, I have an invisible choco. Don't tell SE, they will make it a VIP reward.
I'm not happy.

I wanted to say that I tested this over the weekend. I play on PC and my wife plays on PS3. She does get frustrated with the fates not loading properly (currently at the Ceruleum Factory fates so huge traffic here) and one thing that was noticed is if I mark the targets, they almost always load within two or three seconds of my marking (the 1,2,3,chain,ignore). So basically I run in flash a few enemies to load them, attack a few times then spend most of the fate using my "mark everything" macro so that I can get as many things marked as possible. Since doing this she is getting consistently more golds because she can actually see the mobs before they die. Same with the Dark Devices fate during Phase 3/4 as well as Gorgimera. Takes about two mins without marking...once marked appears within ten seconds.
While this is not a fix, it is a work around. In fate parties ask if someone can be nice enough to mark enemies/bosses for you as this helps your load time until SE can fix the culling/priority load issue...if its something that can even be fixed.
