I have gotten my Dragoon and working on getting all the other classes now to 15 to figure out which I want to play most I have 4 total in mind currently. I only have the ARC and CNJ left to get to 15.
I am wondering what people see as the least played but most wanted of the Damage classes. I am not really worried about wanting to be be a FoTM. I have played enough MMO's to know that every class/job will get the nerf bat at some point and will be OP at some point too.
So anyways in no particular order what I have enjoyed the most in no particular order. LNC, PGL, ACN, THM I will admit THM is at the end but the other 3 are equal fun.
Ty for taking the time to read and reply!

Puglist is PGL, not PUG.

Is there one? I don't mind any of them honestly. I mean the only annoying thing is having 2 BRDs for Demon Wall but if they're geared and coordinated it don't matter. I don't think I there's any class I would not want in my group except WHM. SCH> WHM plz.

Least played: Monk
Most wanted: Bard
Most wanted is based on what I've noticed in shouts on my server. If I see a specific dps class requested, it's usually bard.
Try saying that on the healer forums, you might want to put on a flame retardant suit. :PQuote:

Thing is there are very few good monks as they need some thought when being played to be 100% effective.

Just play what you like. Todays OP job, is tomorrows least played job.
If you dont think a nerf is coming, youre dreaming.
I still remember how Dragoons became useless after pentathrust nerf. How Paladin became the least popular job after people figured out Nin was superior in tanking and exp. How manaburns were the only way to go for HNM and how THFs only got 30 seconds of playtime for the final 1% of HNM fights. -
09-27-2013, 05:21 PMLongNuThey're also more utility based rather than pure damage.Quote:

Actually finding such a good monk is rare (And I don't count myself amongst that number yet, when stuff gets hectic I often lose my rotations. This student has much to learn ;P )Quote:

09-28-2013, 03:47 AMKyronexNice attitude there. Is it that hard to use the proper acronyms? You don't give a shit when people say they're looking for an ARC when they mean Arcanist (ACN) and not Archer? How about "Looking for a PUG" when they actually mean pugilist and not pick up group. Makes it less confusing no?Quote:

Just don't play monk, most monks are group leader since they are hard to find group and they won't invite you no matter how good of your gear. I had this experience a few time. With grud 70 weapon and almost full DL, the guy says my Dmg is not enough for Titan. Go bard or Blm

Level your lancer to 34 for blood for blood. All you do is complain on these forums about BRD. Lrn2play please
-
09-28-2013, 12:26 PMGalatayaNot sure who you are talking to but I know little about a lancer and haven't complained on forums about BRD. So please do a reply with quote next time so people know who you are talking about otherwise I think you are just trolling.Quote:

Ranged atm seem to have greater average dps (across mid to high skill-level) and utility. Bard - mana/TP. BLM - sleep. SMR - instant Rez / sleep.
I'd still want to bring a melee for ST LB though. And between MNK and DRG, I'd take the MNK. AoE healing buff, AoE silence, debuff, and higher dps when played very well. Unless there were a lot of adds... then I'd take the DRG for Doomlance's spam-ability. -

Stop talkin shit about Monks jesus. The Problem is that 90 % of the Monks are just bullshit. A well played Monk does a ton of damage, maybe he wont be on the top but also not far behind. And i can tell that i didnt find any class yet doing more damage even with +1 relic while i have only normal relic. Its abt how you play the class and nothing else. However, i wouldnt like to play with you either if ppl think monk is shit they dont obviously suck and have no knowledge so no reason to play with them.

MNK seems to be top or close to top DPS just think it's by far the hardest job to master and not very forgiving if you mess-up.
Also I never take these people shouting for special classes or special gear serious, most of the time they are so crap and just want to get carried them self. -

I have to say I was trying to avoid monks in my groups for a while. Then I grouped with one who was not geared so great. I must say I was very surprised. The person behind the keyboard has a lot to do with it. I welcome any class into my parties.
They have some crazy rotations from what I understand.
