WOW just used DF....

I've been hearing some decent stories lately from people in my FC about getting things done in DF so I thought, "Oh what the heck, I'll give it a go."

Queue'd up for Garuda, which I've done many times (BLM DL/AF2)

Within about 15 secs things had devolved to the point where it was like watching the last 5 mins of an episode of Intervention.
The tears, drama, Tank called the Whm "A ****ing Ret**d"

I'm not used to being witness to verbal abuse in a video game, so I just hit <leave> and got the heck out of dodge o.o

Anyhow! no more midday solo DF runs for me when my FC isn't around...

That's random queues for you, especially endgame ones. Everyone's a boss. Personally, I feel inclined to actively play worse when I encounter people like that. The rage is delicious.

The sad thing is nobody was doing THAT badly, but the rage was intense and instantaneous!

We probably would have won, if members weren't throwing rocks at eachother during the fight.

I know that feel. My first 'ruda DF group had a Pld mt in af and sergeant's gear that said 'lulz fail grup' and forced d/c'd after one wipe. Second DF foray into 'ruda had a drg that /sit over over to the side while calling people 'stupid idiots' and 'retards'. (he bucked up when I said I reported him for griefing and verbal abuse, but guess what I got in response from the support desk a day later? "players are allowed to play however the want etc etc") Haven't even bothered with it since.

Needless to say, I'm waiting for my FC to catch up.

People are always too busy screaming at each other lately instead of, oh, I don't know, KILLING the boss? LOL. The level of hatred I've seen on this game is ridiculous, lol.

Seems there's Titanic proportions of rage going on causing quite a Tumult in the FF community, especially with the DF.

Fixed that for you.

I like it when people get offended when I try to offer friendly advice (in a very nice way) or explain a fight. People get "annoyed' or call me bossy when I'm just trying to help... but if you don't want advice, then play like someone who doesn't need advice.

Just last week. I was on the last floor in AK. Just outside the room with the 2 big guys. i accidentally pulled that mob by standing too close to them. Once we wiped, the tank said he was "******* tired of this crappy healer". I instantly felt disrespected once he said that because i was healing just fine up into that point. So once we got to the final boss. I said" Next time don't disrespect the healer" and sat down. The 2 dps and tank tried to beat the boss but it wasn't happening without me. They left after two attempts. Sadly I had to punish the other 2 people in the room but I had to teach that jerk a lesson about respecting other people. Hopefully next time someone make a mistake. He keep those negative thoughts to himself or approach the situation in a nice manner.

Had a Pld tank in Stone Vigil when I went as a dragoon with a friend who had yet to do it. Guy would literally use every single defensive cooldown he had about five seconds before a pull (bosses included). He would single target and spam RoH, not even the full combo, and my friend who was the healer would die in every pull. I tried to give him advice ('ah, try saving your defense skills for when the boss uses...' *tank runs to boss after using every ability*), but he stayed silent and kept on doing what he was doing xD I just left with 10 mins left on the clock on the last boss. Duty Finder and some of the /shout's in Mor Dhona.. are sometimes embarassing. Teach and understand. This is what we need more of.. People who are more geared & knowledgeable should try to educate without coming off like some meanie pants. People should also realize that maybe your way isn't the best way, and if it doesn't work to look for a better option rather than looking to blame and dismiss someone. Newer users to the game or a instance should try to understand & research instead of saying.. 'I DEW WAT I WANT' /cartmen
I had someone say to me 'Kaalia sucks' jokingly talking about the MTG card I named my character after and someone else replied 'Good to know' not knowing the joke making himself look like a total sheeple. And that was enough for me. I didn't need to say anything. Some people dig their own hole. But I digress.. just take the good, remember it and respect it more than dwelling on the bad. (I TRY TO DO THIS TOO BUT .. it is hard. >< )

No, This is what happens when retards play video games. Fast leveling has never caused this. Stupid people just get bored with slow leveling. I speed leveled everything in WoW. But unlike said stupid people, even when doing this, i take time to research my classes. Just as i will do in this game. Dungeons and solo questing are not going to magically make dumb people not dumb.

I am starting to avoid the use of the DF. I've got good experiences by creating parties with people of my own server (Shout/FC). They didn't quit, they were polite. I only queue DF when I'm not getting one specific function for my party.

And now we got these type of players in game as well... it's crazy.. ><

Damnit, people. Commas exist for a reason. "WOW just used DF" indicates an impossibility, that "WOW" used the DF system, i.e., "World of Warcraft" used "Duty Finder." Brayflox's Longstop unlocked, only to have 2 groups that passed it without a prob... out of 11 (Mostly bad tanks, and auto attack dps yay) the 2 that passed was without it... so yeah.

When people need rage, I just play on that said rage. It's rather amusing. People must forget its a game!

Really, I think that some people queue for the DF secretly hoping an excuse to get mad presents itself, like they covet the drama or something, so much so that they jump on the tiniest reason to get mad and blow every little thing out of proportion. I guess it's an ego thing, like they seem to believe they are the Gods' gift to MMO's and doing all the PUGs they're in with a favor because no one else in the group could possibly know more about a class or a fight than they do. The lack of accountability that comes with the DF really brings out the worst in these people.

I wish there was a system that would allow us to avoid these kind of players. I see lots of people advocating vote-to-kick but I feel like preventing the undesirable players from being in your party in the first place would be a more effective solution.
