Its pretty easy to gear up in DL gear and mytho gear.. Farming primals for your weapon is where the fail comes in. Its the only MMO I have ever played where hours of farming nets you nothing but a giant repair bill and rage.
I understand why people pay for titan runs now..

In regards to the primal items, there is definitely RNG in the drops, but also RNG in the party. Your post is incredibly vague so I'm not sure if these 'hours of farming' are resulting in successful runs but no drops, or unsuccessful runs. I'm going to assume they are successful runs since you post title seems to reference getting a weapon. In this case, RNG is RNG, but if you're using DF you are probably going to be RNG'ing against the party as well, and if you get another WHM, assuming the item finally drops, your chance of getting it is halved, and halved every time you queue into a 'new' WHM.
Actually, rereading your post would suggest that you're getting stuck into some pretty cruddy groups Yes, the HM Primals require a bit of coordination and effort, but that doesn't make their design bad. Hell, you don't even have to fight any trash to get to them! There are also any number of reasons why the fight can fail, and stupid is as stupid does. Pretty sure other MMOs have RNG and their share of uncoordinated players.
He never implied failure on Titan (his gear isn't Titan ready anyway), he implied being unable to obtain ANY primal weapon, which could very well include Ifrit or Garuda. He also didn't specify why he was unable to do so, so implying it is because he or the players he is doing them with can't dodge Titan's WotL is pointless. He implied that people pay for HM Titan so they can actually get a non-green weapon because either a) groups fail, b) RNG sucks or c) it is much easier and requires less time investment. I still haven't figured out why you MUST HAVE a relic if you aren't heading into BCoB. :xQuote:

I do feel there should be more rewards for doing the HM primal fights. Maybe increase the amount of tomes you get, make them drop some gil, some craftings mats.. something!

Over 100 runs on ifrit now...staff dropped once...the other whm won it over me an it was his first kill too...
I hate ifirit.
If I ever get that weapon, I plan to never go into that fight again.
As a side note, I think there is a .01% chance for staff to drop to ensure healers have to que into these a couple 1000 times so the 99% of players who are DPS can get their weapons on a run or two.
Anyways, saving up for a titan HM carry since it seems only a legacy geared crew can kill it consitantly. PuGs have hard enough time with Ifrit as it is and he's stupid easy lol. -

Do you really think I will have better luck with Garuda if I can't get an Ifrit staff to drop? I really doubt it, RNG hates me in all games to the point it has taken me years to get a single item that others do in a run or two in some of them.

If you're trying to kill Titan via DF, it's not gonna happen. Having two tanks is like trying to 7-man that fight. The off tank does no damage, and contributes nothing.
Get a server group going. Get people that know the fight and are well-geared. That's how I got my Titan kill. -

ive killed titan with 2 tanks multiple times, =/.
Only killed titan once with full pug group, but every now then we will que titan with most fc and pick up like 1 or 2 pugs and still kill it. With 2 tanks its still easy. Alot of time people are under geared or they just suck at dodging -

72 tries and still didn't get the kills (With DF/Shouts/FC). I can dodge almost everything now so easily from so many tries. But its just impossible, its impossible that all the 7 members will know what to do and when... I just don't feel like playing anymore ..

Do people actually make decent Gil off titan kills? I mean at say 250k a kill, wouldn't that 250k be split amongst 7 people? 35k~ Gil per kill does not seem like a good income seeing as how there's a limited amount of buyers.
