regarding the feature in this patch:
"-An auto-logout feature has been introduced wherein characters that are inactive for 30 minutes will be automatically logged out of the game."[1]
will it avoid the bypass shown on the following link from a diff game but that had the same problem.

as you can see you can use that logic with a gamepad and make my char do looping circles, no need for 3rd apps, just face the gamepad downward with the sticks on x direction.
Will i see people people running against a wall or doing some jog :3?

i don't think auto run is active playing
you don't press anything while auto running, so you're still considered inactive
however, it depends on SE's perspective on this, the player's idle or the character's idle
a confirmation would be nice -

I'd imagine the AFK kick timer will also help alleviate some of the lag issues people on highly-populated servers seem to be having. Perhaps not immediately, but certainly over time.

Active movement in Diablo games are determined by input (like any other game), the difference is that with Diablo type games, movement is determined by active clicking. There is no "autorun" so-to-speak. It just runs to short distanced point that you actively clicked. It's a slightly different system with movement in a game that is only determined by point clicking.
For the most part, MMORPGs register active input, so simply auto-running will not register. -

Or farming Animal Skins for leather? Or watching cutscenes in my inn? Or reading completed quests in my log (which btw there's some nifty story on some of them you may miss during the quests)? I can think of tons of reasons I may not do something of my skill level. The way it is set up now is fine, although I'd prefer it be 1 hour instead of 30 min, at least until DF queue times decrease for DPS. That's a valid complaint.Quote:

Average wait time is not exact time. What if your Que pops in 29 minutes? You are afk and miss the Que regardless of the afk kicker.
I've had duty finder pop in 25 minutes or less.. not always, but sometimes. How are you going to justify walking away for 40 minutes while you are qued and having a chance to miss the dungeon regardless of the afk kicker? -
