How about please log out we're doing emergency maintenance

There was a warning and it's a scheduled maintenance.

Lol they did say about 2349872394 times in purple that maintenance is going on at 5 pacific time.... maybe you can't read :3

you've had a few days notice of the exact time and date of the maintenance, i fail to see the problem.

it was scheduled and announced like 2 days ago. They said in chat "Please log out as the servers will be going down for maint. shortly" I know cause I READ IT while I was on like 5 minutes ago.

How someone can log into the forums but can't read is beyond me.

Oh and I'm still at work so I don't even get to play at all today, so let me make a thread saying its NOT FAIRE GUYZ. Or I can just hijack this one since it's also of equal or lesser value.

the message was posted about once every hour for last 3 days

Because I was receiving messages every 10 minutes or so even IN instances.

When you log on, the first thing in your chat was the announcement from SE that there was going to be a maint. You really do need to learn to read.

That sucks, but they told us about this maintenance days ago. Every time I logged in for the past 3 or so days, there was a message telling me there would be maintenance right now. Nevermind the forum post in the maintenance section. Perhaps you should think before you post. Or perhaps, even, read.

Maybe came home from work and "not logged in" but came back from being AFK? And was afk when the message appear.

I've been reading these forums for months and this is my first post. I just want to say, it's astonishing how many stupid people there are on forums. It's also amazing how many irrationally angry people there are on forums.

Well then I must've missed it

I stay in the events tab a majority of the time because of the gil spammers

I saw countless warnings. I also check the website for information regularly. Oh well, live and learn.

Strange. I was online doing FATEs until the last 5 minutes, and there was 3 messages in 30 minutes.

This dude is probably right. OP said that he/she was "30 minutes on before maitenance" and, assuming he/she actually never read any of the announcements outside the game, perhaps he/she WAS in an area beign constantly spammed by some gil seller, so the announcement got buried on it.

...then again, he/she has it deserved for not blacklisting gil sellers as everyone should.

I've been seeing the notices for two days.

Last time I checked it was on everything even the notes before you load up the game that they are going to do some maintenance not to mention its been on the forums and on twitter... These people are a joke, they would bitch that they are thirsty and then bitch when it rains...

I looked up on the maintenance forums to double check the maintenance time today...
I logged into Lodestone saw a message about maintenance later today.
I got one message when I launched the FFXIV launcher today...
I got one message in chat when I logged into my character today...
I got one message 1 hour before scheduled maintenance time...
I got one message 30 minutes before scheduled maintenance time...
I got one message 10 minutes before scheduled maintenance time...
I got one message 5 minutes before scheduled maintenance time...

Did I mention I got maintenance notice 3 days ago?

Even if you missed the messages in-game, it's been said in the lodestone, on the forums and on the client.
Bottom line is that you didn't pay attention and this seriously doesn't need its own thread.
