Okay...and?
The story's meant to be completed as you level, not be done at level 10.
It's annoying but isn't that bad.
I do agree that we should be able to complete the quests if we can complete the quests...
Kind of like FATE requirement levels need to be lowered since most of the mobs are 3-4 levels lower than the requirement.
It was annoying, but the only one that was really bad was the 46 to 49 one. That was ridiculous.
I haven't found it annoying at all, I'm about to level 50 and still am doing story quests level 47 hehe
I'm going to have to drop some quests because I won't need the xp after this next story dungeon.
It's bad because the normal quests you do on the way as you level are starting to dry up around 40~s, I hope you enjoy Leves, Fates and or Dungeon runs as you will need a few.
Just wait till 48, once you finish your story quest half way through 47, the next quest is level 49.
I guess I am the only one who is always overleveled haha. Try leveling with friends. It's fun doing their hunting log while running into random FATES, and then doing dungeons again because it's their first time. All of a sudden you are skipping entire quest zones that you can save for your alts while you breeze through the story. Very fun.
why is there always this rush to cap so fast you get burned out. did u ever think of exploring a bit ? people like u are the reason the game is so easy in the first place
So some of you guys want to feel the thrill of stumbling upon a very difficult quest because of under-leveling or over-exploring the world. Well for me I think it's kinda cool.
Maybe Square could implement a "pay to unlock feature" for those that are lvl 42 and think they can handle a lvl 43? Smile
And that's why Dark Devices is so damn popular. The 46 to 49 one is indeed the most brutal.
46-49 is a bit of a pain but just do FATEs in Cerulean Processing Plant in Northern Thanalan. Pretty easy to just grind it out if you feel you've ran out of quests. Plus you get some seals to rank up GC.
if you think that's bad, ive found like 20 or 30 quests that let you pick them up like, 4-5 levels blow what level you can actually turn them in at.
like, theres a quest in quarrymill I think. I picked it up at 20, the quest had me find and talk to an npc that was literally 10 feet away from the quest giver, inside the outpost walls. no combat, nothing but talking.
I do it, and the quest giver wont let me turn the ques tin until level 26. WTF is up with that? and there are literally DOZENS of these kinds of ridiculously retarded level requirments to turn quests in.
one quest in horizon, the one to kill dog for some chicks dead husband, let me pick it up at 13, the mobs were level 14-15, I could kill them easily, but the bitch wont let me turn the quest in till like, 17 or 18.
this shit needs to stop
Really OP?
/closes the door to the thread and bangs head on the wall.
I assume it's like that to prevent people from doing quests on their main then switching classes and turning quests in to power level. But being 1 level under a quest is not power leveling so yeah, makes no sense in most cases.
That part is understandable but I think you missed the biggest complaint. There are quests that you can accept at, let's say, level 9 (but couldn't at, let's say, level 8) that you can't turn the quest in until like level 14 (as just one example out of many), which is ridiculous.
Also quite a few of these quests right after the level raises, are nothing more then "Go talk to this NPC in the next town" or "talk to this NPC across town" that doesn't really require you to level up at all, so could we drop all these down a level to get a bit of extra EXP?
