Launcher Crashing Help Please

When I log in to my account my launcher stops responding and crashes. Is this happening to anyone else?

It happened to me using the default desktop shortcut. Try the boot one in the FFXIV directory, that works for me.

i have the same problem, it worked for me in the afternoon, but now in the evening its keeps crashing like that, what the hell?

Are you getting the 404 error? I was playing all day yesterday just fine and today I get noting but 404 errors from the launcher. I've replaced my boot files, reinstalled the game, launched from the directory and visited the launchher web page from my browser and nothing seems to work.

Might need to check the Windows event viewer to see if there is anything useful posting there. If you aren't familiar with it, just type eventvwr.msc in either the run or search box off your start menu to load it. The interface will look different between different windows versions... on some you may need to first open up Windows Logs first, and then you should see the Application and System logs. Those are the main lists you'll want to go through and look for notices around the time of your crash.

If Windows was able to capture an exception, it should have either a yellow or red colored icon beside the event. If you are seeing something with a time stamp at the time of the crash, might want to post what it is listing in the event logs. Sometimes we get lucky and it points us to something odd like a .NET or VB problem that simply needs a component updated to get it sorted out.

I think this was the problem because when I tried to log in to MogStation it said my account was blocked. How the hell did someone get my account info? That's ridiculous..

Password change didn't work. This doesn't make any sense. How could it work fine up until yesterday?

I'm suddenly having the same problem.

I know a friend who had this problem after their account was temporarily suspended for "suspicious activity" (However that works), but this doesn't appear to be the case for me; mogstation seems to think my account is fine and I've recieved no e-mails saying it's been compromised of suspended. I've also changed my password to no avail

Played for 2 weeks straight without a hitch, turned on the PC today, suddenly the launcher won't boot.

I had the same issue. Check your email you should have an email from Square.

Are you getting the 404 error or something else?

Getting this same issue as well now.
Tried all the usual stuff, but i get the feeling its got to do with a pwd change? I had the suspicious activity email as well when i couldn't log in the first time.
Hope a fix comes out for this soon as its just problem after problem with this game
