Make Dhorme Chimera a Duty Finder instance

I just recently reached the point in my Relic Reborn quest where I need to acquire Alumina Salts from the Dhorme Chimera of the Coerthas Central highlands, but I was very surprised to find a large group of players waiting for a couple healers to show up so they can party up and fight the monster.

Is it possible to change this into a DF instance so nobody would have to wait needlessly in the same spot for who knows how long?

Where does everybody wait? been sitting in Uldah all day and not seen a single shout for one! lol. Would like to do it myself.

Being on DF or not, i couldn't care less. but i don't see many people doing it at the moment really.

There's... quite the number of people. Almost about the usual numbers when it comes to Svara.

I spend hours every day shouting for Hydra on a JP server, using both auto-translator and Google translate, both in each city-state and outside of Halatali, and I haven't ever seen a response. I've seen groups forming, sent messages, and always been told "sorry, full" if they were even polite enough to respond. This has been going on for a week now. Pleeeeease make this duty-finder!

I like the fact that some of the fights are not on DF. At endgame, you need to get into a Free Company and do stuff with them, you can't expect to be doing the very hard stuff on Duty Finder. The hardest thing that I consider doable on DF is Ifrit hard, once you get to stuff that is harder than that (and Dhorme Chimera is part of this), Duty Finder won't be of much help. Not only you will have endless queues, but you will be heading in a fight where you will potentially wipe 30+ times before getting it right, meaning that you most likely won't get it done with the first DF group, and once you get to the subsequent runs, the party you get with are completely different people, completely ignorant of all the progress you've made thus far.

Duty Finder is a nice tool to level up and farm castrum meridianum, but guys, when you get to endgame instances, you will really want to be doing this with a static team. A team that will repeat the same instance for over 10 hours to get through a fight (i say that because that's how much time my FC has been spending on Titan hard and still haven't beaten him yet).

The fact that some instances like Dhorme Chimera or Hydra force you to play with people on your server should help you finding a Free Company that will do stuff with you.

I beat Chimera as a PUG with my very first group on our third pull. I would most definitely not call it hard, much less comparable to Ifrit. The hardest part, and it was hard indeed on a JP server, was finding people who were actually interested in doing it. Word on the street is that Hydra is even easier than Chimera, but I can't attest to that myself simply because I keep wiping to the /shout boss. There is no good reason for why everything else in this quest, including later stages, can be done with Duty Finder while these two stages are completely overlooked.

The more that takes place in the open world, the better. I would even run dungeons open world if it were possible.

These fights are not open world though. They both take place in a private instance. Besides, open world fights remove challenge from the equation by introducing zombie tactics and encouraging zerg fests. Just look at Odin. I'd prefer to have to show some personal skill for my rewards. I'd just like the opportunities to be more accessible.

I actually got a great group through DF for Garuda Hard, though I'll freely admit that it was very much luck of the draw. Took us 3-4 goes, but we got he down pretty quick. In all, I think I spent less time there than I did in Garuda Easy. . .

Ok, I will admit that it is possible to get good parties from DF, but when you do, ask the players in the party to see how many of them are aleready grouped together... I did some attempts at Garuda hard using DF, we had 5 out of 8 from the same server, who were doing it together for the 10th time.

People need to get to know people from their servers. Yes you can find good parties in DF but you have a chance out of a thousand... I think it's sad to see how much people want to do everything by themselves... Get in a FC, get to know the people you run with, you will:

A) Have more fun because you know the people you run with and;

B) Won't have to reexplain everything every time you re-enter the instance after failure...

This is not a solo game. Find a free company and do it with them.
If you can't do that, how do you expect to run end game content ?

Yes please! Since this is instanced content it technically is no more open world than the primal or dungeons.

Still looking for a party and still so many relics left qq :'(

Chimaera party is not too hard to find but Hydra party has no place to gather random people so it's a LS/FC content only.

Revenant's Toll is usually a good place to start looking for people for lvl 50 content. I've seen quite a few Hydra shouts there.

I agree seeing as you can use DF (weather you finish or not) everything else besides hydra you should be able to DF this. It's not my first option but the FC I'm in has mostly lower level players so not enough people to help and standing around in Ceorthas trying to find people takes forever. I'd rather DF it and fail then not be able to try at all because I can't get a group.

Most likely it's because they don't want to party with a foreigner however being on a JP server I was able to easily shout for a group by shouting in both Coerthas & Mor Dhona.
The thing is though you need to shout IN Japanese not with the auto translate function. Next time try saying something like "キマイラPT募集：　＠(class that you still need in the party)" in which case tank = タンク, DPS is DPS and healer is ヒーラ. Hope this helps!

Everybody is forgetting that the DF only worries about forming a party made of 25% tank(s), 25% healer(s) and 50% dps. It doesn't take into account job types when making the party. This doesn't matter for Hydra, but it'd be retarded for Chimera where you *NEED* 2 silencers and DF could easily hook you up with a party with 1 or no silencers.

There's no reason not to have it on the DF. The only thing that should bar people doing it on the DF is difficulty. Right now Titan is only downed on the duty finder if you win the lucky lottery but based on not knowing who you're going to get it's a crackshoot to beat titan there. Most people can pug chimera and hydra fine. There's no reason it shouldn't be on there. DF groups can do garuda 75% of the time nowadays and Garuda is more difficult than chimera and hydra combined.

I'm stuck on Hydra, Spend 5 hours building a party only to fail 3 times because people where learning the fight only to have people leave.

Also you can watch Youtube video all you want but if everyone else hasn't your stuck.

I've seen DF fails before on ifirt putting 2 Warrior tanks in it.

It happens you try disband and try again hoping for a better DF group. Still a lot better then a 5 hour build time on a party.

I never have any issues getting people together for this fight. I usually just ask my LS and we quickly get 8 people. Other times I just wander out to the battleground and join a group looking for members. I've even just wandered out there to help out for the hell of it on a couple occasions.

There're Shouts for this and Hydra everyday here on Ramuh. Granted, they're all Japanese but a little Google Translate and just plain common sense can get you really far, although, I am always scared the JP might kick me because they saw that big and ONLY "E" on the Party list lol. . .I mean. . .I wouldn't blame them for wanting to =(

Honestly, if your LS/FC won't help you with this important fight, you should probably find a new one.

In 6 months there will be new content and almost everything you have worked for will be useless. It will become old content to everyone and not run anymore by anyone so there is no need to duty finder it. So the problem solves itself.

You actually don't need a single bard for this fight with a pld tank. We've done it several times without one, you can also do it with just one brd with proper positioning of the boss. There's more than one strategy for most bosses in this game, people just tend to go with what's out there on youtube and in guides.

Man, we really do need a duty finder for this, I can't get a party for shet, they just stopped appearing.
I've been sending out shouts in Dragonhead whenever I'm on and nothing. Been trying for weeks. Can't finish my relic. >_<

Letter from the Producer X would love to inform you that this will be possible (we just don't know when).

the best way to get a chimera group on my server is to have one person shout in coerthas and one person in mor dhona. other than that, i suggest join an FC or a good LS and ask there. this is a social game, you gotta socialize. besides, you may want to find a group that willing to run the primals with you too otherwise you will be beating your head against a wall in Titan DF groups for a month or longer(unless you get lucky)

no df for this. this is an introduction to top tier raids. ur gonna have to form up on ur own eventually. so might as well start now. plus. it also helps to get in an fc
