Ok sorry but I'm completely sick of trying to solve this, really this is my last attempt to make my issue known and Ill just forget about this game since I have to focus on other stuff irl and another problem is not one of them. I have been locked out from my main character since august 24 I cant begin to count how many times have I tried to log in just to see error 90000 pop on my screen every time. I've sent like 6-8 emails to support and they didnt do anything. All Ive done feels like it was wasted time and effort this really is the worst experience one could ever have with an MMO.
I would like to know if anyone has had a problem similar to mine because I honestly havent seen anyone with my kind of problem? 1017... queues... lol... I've had to bypass those every time just so I can see error 90000 follow up at log in... anyways hope everyone else is enjoying the game I was really looking foward to it.

Heres the only reply I got from support:
"We really do apologize for the trouble and inconvenience you have been experiencing with the error code. At this time, the error code is being given when the server has reached capacity. Unfortunately we are unable to assist directly with resolving the error. We encourage you to try again at a later time."

I get 90000 error when Comcast all of the sudden goes bonkers and loses IP. Not only FFXIV disConnected but also my Mumble. If this was a FFXIV client problem, everyone would be experiencing the same thing as you. You may want to investigate your internet connection for high packet loss.

Not trying to troll or anything but when someone says they don't need FFXIV:ARR to be another problem in their life, I can't help but to think that maybe they shouldn't be playing an MMO and deal with what ever issues they have.
Gaming should be an enjoyment, not a real life escape. -

Op, is there anyway you can attempt to log in from another PC or ps3, maybe a friend's? That might help isolate if it's an account problem or the way the game is interacting with your setup.

No, not that.
It all started for plenty of people across multiple different ISPs after a specific date (Early Sept 2.). They were able to play fine before that date once they got into the game. Everything is working perfectly online otherwise (I can run an actual P2P program like utorrent without any throttling, have mumble running, can stream, play any other online game, etc.). It's obviously not on our end of things. All we want is a response stating that SE is aware of the problem and are looking into it/working on it. Game is great, but I can't play it because of constant lag spikes and disconnects. -

I've been getting it as well. Not as bad as you, but I have been getting it. I do not loose my Internet connection when it happens either. And I believe that date you listed is accurate as it didn't seem to occur before then.

A few things to try
Cycle the power on both cable modem and wireless router
Open a command prompt and type: ipconfig /flushdns
Disable antivirus and firewall before launching the game
Disable ALL torrent applications on your network
Try connecting directly to your cable modem
If your using wireless, try using an Ethernet connection instead
Change your dns servers to something different tha what they are now, ie 8.8.8.8 (google dns)
I'm not making any assumptions as to what could be your specific issue, rather these suggestions would be a good place to start and help you narrow down what's causing the issue. -

So I just got 90000'd during a dungeon like 10 minutes ago, and now I'm stuck on 3102 limbo since then. Ain't that fun!? :D
Seriously, if there's one error that I hate more than 90000 it's 3102. How can I be "still logged into the game" if I've been trying to fucking log in for over 10 minutes? It makes no sense at all... -

Funny, even with the dreaded 1017 error ( which has shown less in the evening), that I have never hit a 90000 error... ever.

You do realize that "Error:90000" is just an error code, and that the source of the problem isn't always the same thing right? The error code points the dev's in the direction in where to fix the error.
The Error:90000 code seems to be the error code for a loss of connection to the server. Hell, you can get an Error 90000 just by unplugging your internet or losing connection briefly.
I guess its all SE's fault. -

As well, certain ISP's also interact differently with certain ports. Comcast is notorious for this, as well as TimeWarner.
