I don't see the issues being solved.. anyone else?

1) No stable, and always on queue system-No mention
2) No said implement of afk booter... No mention
3) They won't release the cap. information.. maybe just a lousy 1,000. Hidden information that's useful for those looking at a server to land on perm.
4) Adding more servers promotes decaying(low-Medium pop) or dead(very low-low pop) servers


Creating more worlds promotes dead worlds when the game loses its hype after people rush to the end to see the story. I don't see any free one/one time pass for people choosing to go to new worlds.

Adding to its world cap. will only help if there is a queue system always on and an afker booter, or it'll just be more people able to login to afk at peak times where players want to play and still cannot.

What is the cap increase? A lousy 1,000? If that's it.. We're in for 1017 still. I don't think people honestly realize the use and necessity of the afk booter, they don't understand why it has been implemented in every MMO other than this one. I mean.. doesn't the 1017 provide a hint? Hello...

they should let us know HOW they plan on fixing the issue and atleast an estimate of max pop if not the actual max pop of servers before and after. yoshi did say he will work on an afk booter but not at this time... well then when?

That's a problem... If they haven't been working on it for a week since they realized the issue.. that's pretty fail.

But anyhow, I really want to know the server max as of tomorrow due to the fact.. I want to know if it would be smart to redo my character there without thought of the server dying or dwindling down in population to say... the new servers that were there since week one like Excalibur.

they said they are increasing the data centers that house the duty finder lobby system and other sub systems. The reason behind making an artifical cap on the servers was to promote stability of these systems. So once these system get upgraded along with adding new servers they can increase or remove the artificial cap on the server log ins and let the servers hold the max amount of people. Also by removing the cap the queue system will actually work because they will not be turning it off and on to manage server population.

Currently they turn on the queue for your server when the server population hits a threshold under their artificial cap. When the server reaches that artificial cap they turn off the queue system, this is when you get the 1017 errors.

At the end of the day.. I see your defense, but other true blue mmo players and those that have only played online games since little (Mid 90s for me) know that their queue system is fail.. aka that's what it is there for. No matter how you defend their usage of it, it's fail because it isn't the right way or intended reason to install a queue system to start with. The "threshold" is the whole reason why the queue system should be in place and used nonstop. Gives a line-up of who enters when a person leaves. Hence no one logs off anymore (until tonight because it is forced.. but come 6 AM est, we'll log on to afk again because with NO mention of an AFK booter, we're bound to hit this issue, again. lmao) It's an endless cycle because they refused to add in what everyone else adds in for the pliability and comfort of their players.

Needs more transparency

Yeah the producer said they're not even working on a better queue system or AFK kicker yet. They just want to get the servers up, then reopen digital sales, flood the servers and get more money in their pockets. NOTHING that happens tonight with this, is going to make it any easier to get onto the server with your current character.

Maybe they're betting some people will reroll? Since they don't offer transfers. I don't see a whole ton of people doing it, but that is their fix all, making you, give up the time you've already spent. Rather than them, working on anything technical.

1. The queues work, the servers are just so full that you never see the queue. Their queues also seem only to operate when there is space on the world to login to.
2. Yoshi-P has made mention of this and indicated that they are concentrating on the server side for now since their worlds are already full and they need more for the new customers buying the game.
3. Yoshi-P talked at great length about the concurrent user cap of 5000 concurrent connections per world. He indicated the worlds are designed for that many, but of course it's rather assumed that the population would not all congregate in 3 areas.
4. Adding more servers when your servers are already full and your population is still growing is mandatory in order to cope with the new growth and provide an acceptable service to all. If they added no new worlds, nothing would help the login issues and no one else would be able to get the game. honestly, I can't believe that you even said this. If we were 6 months in, then yeah, your point stands, but literally 1 week into launch? no, they need more world servers.

It's funny how any other MMO with a bigger boom can see a queue but not this one.

Anyhow.. constructive? Nothing to be optimistic about, really, but trying. I'm just wanting to play for once, therefore, I am logging in tomorrow morning to ensure play time for once. Taking over a week with just idle talk isn't much to make someone optimistic about.

1. The queues don't work, even when you get into them, sometimes you get a queue, then get kicked, sometimes you get straight in, it's RNG completely.
2. He mentioned that they want to concentrate on opening up more servers so they can get more money before giving a crap about anyone already playing, I completely agree.
3. Yeah, she's talking about them increasing the cap with these new servers, they have made some, small, vague mention of doing this.
4. Adding more servers is nessecary when your launching, but perhaps dealing with the pre-existing problems would be good before inviting more people into this crapfest just so they can grab a few extra dollars. I doubt the people who are working on getting these servers hooked up and working are the same people who would be working on an afk boot timer or better queue system anyway - but they've mentioned they're not even interested in doing this at the moment, what a horrible company and producer.

Pretty much this.. minus the money making..

3) They're increasing the cap but we don't know how much. It could be a little (1,000) it could be a moderate amount or too much. Either way, we don't know and we're going to probably still see 1017 because I high doubt they're going to add a massive amount for whatever reason.

And like I'll say again.. any other MMO with a bigger boom than this launch somehow still had a working as intended queue.. Not SE, that's all. end of story.

This is a mess. How can you deny that? lol It MAY be fixed tomorrow, unlikely due to reasons I've stated. I hope they work though, and I hope they keep the queue (Duty finder) perfectly available and work on making their login queue not suck.

the more i read, the more i believe these guys are right. they just want to re-open digital sales. we're just gonna get the same error messages. also, couldn't you just make your queue unlimited? why stop it at such a low number? and still you get kicked so it's obviously broken

That's what the MMO vets from other companies want to know.. They've seen it done with THOUSANDS in to queue. LOL I mean.. The ones that are defending this crappy queue can't comprehend how bad it is.

I almost thought they were doing this maint just to resell digital copies myself at one point (When I was so irate I didn't both logging in because I knew I wouldn't have fun) but that's a little TOO embarrassing to reopen sales just to make another quick buck and give crappy play to everyone, again, and new customers that haven't been following this, at al until they see the massive amounts of complaints if they run in to it. Where am I getting at with this comment? I have higher hopes than them doing something like that just for sales.

They already explained that the reason for the soft cap on the servers is due to the duty finder / instancing cluster being overloaded. This is due to the duty finder cluster working across all 25 servers in NA/EU. They are are splitting up this load to a similar system as WoW's battlegroups, where they will split up multiple duty finder clusters between multiple servers. This may or may not mean longer queues (ratios will determine this, NOT quantity of players), but the entire point of this is so they can remove the soft caps that were put in place during early access.

their queue system works exactly like that when they dont manually control it.

ok this is what happens 3 things you need to know.

There is an artificial cap they put in place on the servers which is lower then the actual cap of the server.
They use the Queue system to control the flow of people logging in to the server.
They turn on and off the queue system as needed to control this flow.

So what happens you try and log in... server is at artificial cap. You get 1017. All of a sudden a bunch of people log out and the server is blow the threshold of the artificial cap. So they turn on the queue system. So now 100 people in queue. Say the first 50 of the bring the server back up to that artificial cap. the other 50 then get booted out of the queue and get 1017 when the system shuts off the queue.
