They really feel undertuned. 1 drop for 8 people, and to top it off it's only 4 philosophy tomestones.
1 loot drop is standard for 4 people. Why not double it when it's 8 people?

The casual QQ starts...
At least is a 1 drop for sure
For clarification it is 10 philosophy tomestones and 4 mythology tomestones. That being said a person could feasibly farm Ifrit over and over and get their AF2 armor. Granted it would take forever.
Would be nice if there was like a 10 or 15% chance to drop two weapons. I got my axe tonight after the 8th or 9th run.
Be thankful they didn't handle drops like XI did and you actually get something from each kill regardless of if it's needed or not. Nothing worse than slaving over a boss for a drop you want and never seeing anything at all drop other than the guaranteed crap mats/crystals.
I don't mind how the drops currently work for this. One drop for something where you zone in and immediately fight a boss sounds fair. Especially something like ifrit that is easily pugable.
I like the new system, with a static you could organize who gets what. Unlike in 1.0 where you could do it till the cows come home and you'll never get what you want.
Get over it. Having only one drop is really not that bad considering all you have to do is zone in and fight.
Needs more open world 24-72hr pops, with about a 20% drop rate.
Or 21-24hr pops with 2% drop rate.
Oh insta pop with a 100% drop oh ya that's bad...
leave the casual who wants to be spoonfed its for the best
I love the argument that because other games are shittier that I should be grateful. God, after playing Korean grindfests I guess I'll never have a place to complain about videogames again! So entitled!
A 4 man faceroll instance drops 1 loot. Why is Ifrit HM dropping the same amount of loot as something like Wanderer's Palace? The whole point of increasing raid size is making rewards proportional.
I'm gonna love it when people defend Crystal Tower for dropping 1 loot piece.
Think back to v1.0, drops were completely random, so someone who only levelled Conj/Thm would be just as likely to get a spear or sword as a tank would be to get a staff or bow. They were untradeable and token drops were random too.
I remember getting 2000 gil and some dark matter 12 times in a row.
I think it\s actually pretty good, the battle takes all of what, 10 minutes, and you have a one and 8 shot at getting a pretty decent weapon early in the game. My guild was able to do 12 run in a very short time the other night and the 5 guys who needed their Ifrit weapon were done.
So what was wrong with the way they had drops set up in 1.0 for primals? Each person popped the coffer and what was in it was theirs and theirs alone. Be it a weapon or items to trade in for the weapon of your choice it was a method we liked. So say I'm missing the Garuda sword from my collection and I want it, I have to greed it now vs just farming Garuda and either getting lucky and it is a drop in my personal coffer or get those totems to later trade in for the sword. You put in the work, the coffer you pop should be yours and not a party wide communal pool.
Woosh?
On a serious note XI hasn't been like that in over 2yrs or so, well tia maybe but ya.
The point being overall it's not that bad, really if you want items now go play a p2w game. Most people like to A: a challenge and or B: To make progress towards gear.
With the token system etc the game seems to be pretty fare imo.

Considering there is (apparently) no limit to how many times you can do this in a given period of time, I see no problem with only having 1 drop per run.
Everyone should get a token to turn in for the weapon of their choice when they collect 5 tokens. Pure nonsense to reward one random player for a team effort. Even 1.x at least had totems.
fits with the saying better gear than me = you have no life i have better gear than you = your a scrub
I just wished the amount of tomes was just a tad better.
Increase the tomes or increase the number of weapons that drop. I've killed ifrit over 30-40 times and I haven't seen the damn axe drop even once. This isn't an old issue either. People have been complaining about this since 1.0 and Yoshi P said he'd fix it. Well the current system still sucks.
It took me 52 wins to see and win Ifrit's Codex >.>
Ifrit/Garuda take < 10 mins, dunno bout Titan. Its not that bad.
Fast, 1 will drop, no problem. With an FC its cake. And any good group will be taking down Garuda shortly after ifrit (even w/o all getting weps from ifrit) and those are much better.
While a token system may be nice for these, no less than say 20 kills should equal a wep of your choice, its just that damn easy/fast to kill and repeat.
What does Garuda and Titan drop ? Weapons too ?
More loot means we get our gear faster, more gear means we can rush faster thorugh content, rushing through content means Sqaure cant keep up with content and if Square cant bring us enough content players will leave.
So why should they make it easier to get items?
