Hopefully a solution to most peoples launcher issue

So, I was among the many people getting the launcher issue that's asking for you to register again. Found the solution and I'm going to post it in hopes it'll help some people who haven't tried it yet. I'm not sure how this would work for the PS3 version, but this one is for PC. Anyway


Step 1: Check your e-mail. I got another code from the place I pre-ordered from about 4 days ago, and didn't really bother to give it more than a skim over since I thought I was good to go. It'll be another 20 digit code.

Step 2: Google Mog Station and it should be the first link. Log in.

Step 3: Click on Account Services, then choose Windows PC (or I guess PS3, but again I don't know if that one'll work since I'm on the PC version)

Step 4: Input your code that you got in your e-mail, click next. Make sure everything on the next page looks correct, it should say you get like 30 days of playtime. Click next!

Step 5: Click the launcher, It'll still have that message up, just say you currently possess an account, log back in and you should be good to go!

If the problems still persist, then it might just be something else happening with the launcher. By doing this I was able to log back into the game, so I hope this post helps somebody else!

This thread is correct

when I choose PS3 it says I need to redownload the game, or to enter in a code in the PS store...the code for the PS Store is only 12 digits. Help Please!

Did you get anything with 12 digits then that you could put in? :( Or is it still giving that issue when putting in those digits? As I said, I don't know how the PS3 one is working, so hopefully someone who has that can help if they've figured out how to solve theirs.

Unfortunately I dont think I recieved another 20 digit code. I got a digital pre-order from square directly, where did you get yours from?

For PS3, if you have the physical copy the 12 digit code is on the back of the instruction manual.(not the red and black card). With the digital copy you should have received an Email with the code. Check ALL Email folders, spam ,inbox etc. good luck!

Thank You both..I feel like an idiot, the code was on the back of the manual, like Johncue said...and the code went through. Thank you both again.

*** was worried when I woke up after seeing all the threads, but lucky the digital version made life easy again, didn't have to do anything, just turned it on and got back to playing.

i was fearing the most i had literally JUST hit 30 conj when i got kicked and this happened, 4 hours later n a few grey hairs later i come across this thread, the main forums second thread, LOL im a internet noob but i kno enuff to bump

The key for me was realizing that SE would be dumb enough not to just give you 3 different codes.. but FOUR DIFFERENT CODES.. ONE OF WHICH IS BRAND NEW AND WAS IN MY SPAM EMAIL BOX.

The people apologizing for SE are ridiculous. A company should learn how to make things USER FRIENDLY on a basic level. Their incompentence with server stability, and this whole registration system seems amazing considerng the game itself seems solid and fun.

so.. to summarize you got

- An Initial "Registration Code" XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX
- A "Early Access Code" XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX
- A "Preorder Code" XXXXXX-XXX-XXXXXX-XXX
- A NEW "Registration Code" XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX

UN-BELIEVABLE!!! FOUR DIFFERENT CODES FOR US TO JUGGLE!! FUN!!

So, now that that's all sorted I can play.. OH WAIT I CAN'T CUASE I'M GETTING 1017 AT NOON ON A SERVER THAT ISN'T EVEN ALL THAT POPULAR.

Every other MMO I've ever played has had extra servers ready to go.. but not SE.. they like to do things differently and are proud of it.

Help please I pre-ordered from PSN,got a thank you for my purchase and an order number"not 12 digits",
Got a couple mails fron S E with 17 digit codes nowhere to even put that crap,
been playing since phase3 onward now today can get on at all unless I want to start a new character

I went to the square enix email from my original order (digital river is the merchant for the order) and looked up my original purchase and it listed the new 20 digit registration code. The original 20 digit code didnt work when re-registering but the 2nd one did. Try checking your order from the square enix store or wherever you bought the game from.

k so i went to mog station and typed my 20 character code (the early access code since thats the only code i have and already registered on to my account) and its says its already in use and my launcher is still asking for the 20 digit code too
