How to I get a refund?

I would like to refund my copy of the game as I have no access to the product I've purchased. Thank you.

brings back memories of diablo 3 launch, that was like a good week long ordeal practically. Guild wars 2 launch also suffered from long maintanences and server downage shortly after its launch. i have pretty much excepted that servers get congested the first few days of mmorpgs, its not even necessarily SE's fault, its all the afkers and the amount of people congesting the servers.

Yeah and I'll never understand why but it's intolerable to some people to have to wait to play games.

I paid to play the game. I did not pay to wait to play the game. Given the number of launches in the evolution of MMO's that have not been full of game breaking issues, players do want to wait for launch problems to be fixed...they quit playing the game and rightfully so if that is the choice they make.

Of course it's your choice, I wouldn't have helped you out if I thought it wasn't it. But me personally, I've waited for this game for years, a few more days isn't going to cause me any hinderance at all. And I have never seen an MMO launch without issues. This is normal for me for the 10 years I've been playing these games, and while it sucks I've learned to accept it and not give a flying leap if I wanted to keep my sanity.

Op would you like someone to come change your diaper? Yea things happen that is unforeseen they have been working hard to get us this game. Im tired of people crying. Yes I have had all of these errors hit me. But stuff happens and when its sorted out ill still be here playing and enjoying one hell of a game.

Correct what behavior? Server instability? Servers are not something that just work when you turn them on and have thousands of people connecting from all over the world onto one tiny little box. Launch issues with servers is not a video game only issue, other software that relies on servers experience the same problems. The reality is that things like this cannot be prepared for no matter how intelligent you think you are until you are in the thick of things and get to see actual data of how this stuff works. Now sure they could have done an open beta for a couple weeks and not a couple days but they didn't and I knew exactly what was gonna happen but I liked the game enough to man the hell up and deal with it because a week from now I'll be playing happily while everyone else is out there trying to find the next MMO that is going to fail at launch.

My point is that it doesn't matter even if this game is dead in a month due soley to the launch issues, companies are not going to see this and go,"Well shit, we're gonna do better than that and not have any issues". They're going to have issues, there's no way around it. While your position on the matter is admirable and justifiably correct it's not going to amount to anything other than you not getting to play a great game and the next MMO have the same issues.

Funny thing: I was in their chat support queue to ask this very same question. I started out as number 19 and after an hour of waiting, finally was number 1 in the queue and then my session was cancelled because there were no agents available. I guess I will be doing it through my bank now.

Did you try the site I linked Woobies? Some banks don't really like it when you dispute charges, and your account will be instabanned. Not that it would matter if you're never coming back.

If you ordered via amazon.com like I did a refund is very simple.
Go to: https://www.amazon.com/gp/css/order-history
and click the cancel order button button. Refunds only take seconds to process.

These issue could have easily been planned for. They get constant updates on the number of units sold by location. It does not take a "special" kind of math to determine that your server capacity is significantly lower than your pre-order quantity.

On top of that you are blaming the server throttle on an "instanced" duty finder issue? Seriously!? If that is truely the case then paying for more bandwidth and instanced servers is the only solution. There is no other way you will ever be able to get all of you player base in otherwise.

The apology is weak and lacks real information with a direction on how it will be fixed or a time line. Reading between the lines on that one only indicates they are weary of making a commitment they are unwilling or unable to make. Pony up the Cash SE, you have spent millions on getting the game to this point, don't blow it now!

The fact that SE allows you to be AFK in the server is their fault. 100% SE fault.

Hmm, well then I guess you could dispute the charge. Just make sure you know what that entails at your particular bank, sometimes it can be more hassle than the $30 is worth.
