I don't know if they announced it for certain yet, but I'd assume it's based on the same time as it was for early access/beta 4 which was 5AM EST, which is about 9AM GMT I believe? However I wouldn't recommend telling them to wait around for access. From the looks of things the login servers will be locked down all week.
http://arrstatus.com/ if this helps. about 16 hours 25 minutes.
I'm more curious about when we can actually subscribe, I hope its not as close to launch as the patches were to EA.
Probably 2am PDT, 5am EST, 10am GMT.
Your assuming you'll be able to log in?
Official service doesn't start on the 27th any more. It's been pushed back to the 30th.

That post was like that since early access launched afaik. The extra days are in place so people who don't get their launch copies on time due to shipping delays or vendor error can play for a couple of extra days without being abruptly booted from the game because a retail code isn't applied to their account.
Putting it at a 2 am PT would kinda suck, especially for those in Japan, considering that it'd be 6pm JST when they would get to access the game. Somehow I highly doubt it'll be at that time, it might be earlier, perhaps 12pm JST (11pm ET)
But what do I know, I don't live in Japan or know too much about the way Japan releases things
Midnight on the 30th is technically when this shindig starts. No one needs to enter a code or buy the game officially until then.
I think you might be a bit confused Sarvoth. Early Access ends on the 29th, but the reason its that is a free 2 day grace period between that and the 14 day 'Welcome Back Campaign'.
Service officially starts on the 27th, and SE hasn't said anything otherwise in that regards. Why would they release a game on the 27th if you can't access it for 2 days? That would tick a lot of people off
Game has officially launched. I got my 2.0 CE items: helm of light etc. :)
Because there is a grace period. You don't need to put in a game code until the grace period ends. So early access is longer than you think. Hell, this Square-Enix email says it, so who is confused?

You are correct that the grace period has been extended, but official service is still commencing on the 27th.

Don't know why everyone is jumping on Sarvoth. What he said is right and he never claimed 27th wasn't the start of the game. He simply said you can play till the 29th without buying the game, which is true, and that he himself saw that as the start of things. Perhaps because everyone after that point will own the game.
He isn't claiming the 29th to be the start, more like suggesting.
Actually, we can play now :)
11 AM in Belgium (that's the +1 GMT zone).
I didn't get Early Access, but I've been able to log in since about 20 minutes ago.
i can logging since 20 mins too with 1.0 char
Should I b worried? on the Mog station my 1.0 character doesnt show up under the account status. Just the character i made during beta4 on a jap server.
Sounds like the game is not officially released! That mean we can stream now?
