We have confirmed that the issues on the North American/European data center Worlds have resurfaced. Therefore, we have placed a severe login restriction in order to stabilize the servers.

Thanks for telling us something we already knew, how about some real info and a realistic freaking time frame for new hardware to get added or servers with migrations.

LOL! If the last one wasn't severe I'd hate to see what severe looks like.

So, in order to fix the servers they are just going to lock people out??? Good plan

1 person a minute can logon, max 100 players on the server.

LMFAO wow.... SE have no concept of severity so far, if them login restrictions ive had all day getting on once every hour and if I zone, or summon retainer or click market board I get kicked but I guess that isn't classed as severe. Just small little obstacles huh SE

HOW TO FIX SERVERS, BY SE DEVS

Keep reducing number of people who can play until the game runs... at least for the small amount who are able to play, then suspend the rest of the players in login limbo.

Yeh.....killer idea...... why didn't any other company ever think of that. If a server is congested don't let people play, its fool-proof

so the solution to people being unable to play is not allowing people to play
and consequently getting your login server hammered by thousands of people spamming it desperate to get in game

sort of feels like the solution will just make the problem worse, why not close the server and fix the problem if you know what it is?

the one time i did get in today just got error 90000'd trying to leave the inn room...

edit: what the heck are the people that got ingame even doing anyways if you can't even change zones or interact with other people? shut it down and fix the damn thing already, at least people would accept that

Three characters on the same server who, according to the game, are all already logged in at the same time, because fuck logic.

Why does it read as though they just discovered this was a issue again? Me and my GF haven't been able to login once all day. We started trying about 8am CST. crazy. I guess they should of listened to the players during OB, you need to extend beta, so we can test and make sure its working. Instead of "oh ya man, got this bug fixed no problem" and go on with the launch. Ugg I remember this same nightmare at the start of the old FFXIV, and FFXI. And As others have mentioned every other MMO. So I guess we'll just have to cut away from the game and do something else. I've been working a game I've had on my list of games to complete *before launch of FFXIV* anyhow, so this is giving me that opportunity. But I can't stop myself from checking every 30 mins, cause like everyone I've been giddy and excited, eagerly awaiting this game to finally hit, so I'm so desperate to play. I spent the last week in agony waiting for this game like I'm a 5 year old boy going to bed on christmas eve. Ugg lol.

This is the part that worries me a little. They're conditioning people to AFK in-game as a roudabout to the login restrictions, which then affects anyone that logs off because of work/school/sleep.

Actually, you're supposed to shut up and wait until tomorrow to play when fewer people have the time to log in and SE can go back to pretending the problems don't exist.

This is the new button masher portion of the game everyone feared

I really hope they let people have 1 free server transfer after all this... That would alleviate a lot of this overpopulated server stuff.

I'd like to know this to. Without the queue, how are we supposed to know when the server "isn't full?" Basically, SE is asking for us to spam their servers because we have no indication of when we can or cannot get in.

Until later today when I go i and pay off the rest of my CE preorder and bring the game home.
Then I expect I will be able to log on, considering I have paid for a game and expect to be able to play it.

If not, when I do get on, there's gonna be a lot of Lalas with sore butts walking around...

I logged in, went to my inn room, and logged off, at least I will be well rested. While they fix this crap for launch, I am gonna go play Saints Row IV if anyone wants to co-op with me on Steam. :)

Several hours of outage with a few hours of play time is not tolerable. Fail launch is FAIL.

we should just spam the JP servers until they crash... then they would get stuff done!

I actually thought to myself last night "I think I will log out in an inn room just in case I can't play when I wake up". Well, hopefully I have a lot of rested experience too! lol.

So what happens in two days when thousands of people buy the game? Can't login? Can't create character? Just close early access and fix the stupid servers...absolutely ridiculous. No P2P mmo should require players to camp the login screen for over and hour just to play, only to get booted an hour later for maintenance. Actually no online game should ever be like that. The actual game is solid, but you aren't going to win people over with good gameplay if they can't even login to begin with...frustrated...

I'm playing on a JP server. Unless you're planning to do the one subscription option that restricts you to one server, I don't see why more people don't do this. Yes, we all want to advance our main characters, finish off those class quests, open up new content to enjoy it, and talk to our friends. But seriously... you *can* play. So just shut up already and play. Create an alt on a JP server and make new friends. It will give you somewhere to go later on when your server goes down for emergency maintenance or when everyone in your linkshell/free company pisses you off and you need a time-out... or you just want a quiet evening to play, free of the daily linkshell drama.

Is Square Enix to cheap or what? why can't they just make 6-7 more servers for EU/NA. They would have solved the problem long ago,ask people if its okay if they can move them to another server. "We would like to ask the community if its okay if we can move some of you to stabilize the servers. If it's okay please input your info." something like that..

They could, but I'm pretty sure this wouldn't fix the Duty Finder issues, as they cover all of the North American and European servers. They would just get worse with even more people spamming to get into dungeons and events.

the jp servers arent having the same problems are they? (and the game is sold out in japan, right?) It seems to me like someone messed up configuring the NA datacenter servers somehow (or the link back to japan). I'm a network admin, maybe my perception is colored, lol.

Beta 1/2: New character
Beta 3: 1.0 character, but progress wiped
Beta 4/Early Access/Launch: I want to make progress. I don't want to make another new character just to "play."

Nope, I just had a run around Durandal and it was pretty empty. Completely empty compared to how Sargatanas was when I was kicked.

This is an early access period that was supposed to be an incentive for those that pre-ordered or paid through Legacy. It doesn't look like they're attacking the very dire issue with enough respect, instead deciding to let a few people play on their crippled servers so that people can't say "The servers are down!"

I'm not spamming the entry screen; I've got naps to take and other games to play, but I'm sure not cooperating. Admit you have a problem, give folks another free week, and shut them down long enough to fix them, preferably before launch.

i had to force my game to shutdown in the task manager because it got stuck in a class quest loading screen, now nothing but 1017.

At least the JP players are having a good few days of early access

Maybe I'm missing something but why does 1017 even exist? Why would it not just put you in a queue if the world is full? I don't get it.

Here's a sad one for you guys. I was actually able to log in at one point, but I had been called away and was forced to log off. This was around...10 this morning, and haven't been able to log in since. :p

oh oh, i've got a messed up one too! i got my first sastasha pt and we made it to the final boss [i think, it was this sahagin thing who summoned other adds or something] SUDDENLY power outage. you cannot believe how horrible i felt for basically letting down that party since i was on whm. i actually shed a tear for them...then i went around the house fixing clocks after power came back up.

People are getting error 9ks teleporting/instances/etc when they are on still that disconnect them again.

Same here and that was around 2pm eastern time, have not been able to get back in since.
