Everyone who was at ANY MMO launch know stuff is getting broken all the time. Even Blizzard has the same problems with stuff just breaking or people not be able to connect to their servers.

Dont spout that nonsense here, the Japan servers are working fine. SE failed to test there new US/EU data Centers and now there failing to deliver what was promised to customers(something you never do...ever)

No, they didn't "fail to test them," what they failed to do is accurately anticipate the amount of server infrastructure they needed. This is a server load issue, not a "we hate NA so we'll give them servers that break" issue.

If you buy a game you are at least entitled to the same level of service the other customers (as a whole) get.

To have the Japanese servers work flawlessly (most likely because of a huge redundancy/free capacity) and the EU/NA servers beeing overloaded all the time is just pathetic.

And the bizarre argument of fanboys makes it even more surreal:
Japanese serves work better because there arent as many people playing, but they have more servers because more Japanese play FFXIV!!!!!!

This isnt a problem of a "buggy" game.. it's a problem with a huge favoritism towards some of the customers and this is what makes me rather annoyed.
I still think FFXIV is a very good MMO (and I played most of them) but I fear that this behavior will continue to diminish the success this excellent game could have worldwide.

Your dame right I'm entitled, to a game that's fully functional.

Am not angry about these problems cause shit happens, am angry that SE don`t inform people asap on whats going to be done to tackle the problem last tweet was like 1h ago that is unacceptable. Last mmo lunch i played was GW2 and there had tweets to the player base every few min to inform them on problems and on whats going to be done.

They've always had Japanese based servers from ffxi to now. The NA based servers are a new thing for them so I can kind of understand the problems.

and this is why I said phase 4 beta should have been all last week. So much for having something good to go.

you have a test scheduled and a over sea's server date. figure it out yourself its really easy.

Since when did people decide that it was OK for things like this to happen and then just let the company off the hook? "But it's beta" "But it's Early Access" "The game is still new" "It's expected of a launch" "They'll fix it in the next patch" "Next month" "Next year, I promise!"

Why? Why is it EXPECTED of a AAA game to riddled with bugs? Why is it not OK for us, PAYING customers, to voice our displeasure at game breaking issues that literally impede our progress and enjoyment? On top of which the servers were taken down for 2 hours only to come back up with the problem still unresolved. I love this game as much as the next guy but if we keep letting problems like this slide we as paying consumers will get nothing except more shafts up the sphincter. I won't speak for everyone, but shafts and my sphincter don't get mix nicely.

Isn't paying for it exactly why we are in fact entitled?
Further, legacy means you payed for it during 1.xx when few were, that's not lucky, that's S.E. repaying legacy member support.

SE has no choice but to fix it and they will, but the last thing they need is to bleed customers over something as trivial as this. even Yoshi himself said this game will not be released until its ready from what i'm seeing its about two beta's away from being ready. it doesn't take a scientist to figure out that open beta reared alot of issue's regarding server stability and that Beta should have been extended.

The white knights have no other recourse. They can't possibly use the, "it's a beta" excuse any longer so they need to find some way to defend SE.

Cmon SE this isnt beta anymore... you just had a 2.5 hour maint. and now you're bringeing the servers down again to fix the issue you couldnt fix during the first maint.... get a grip

Technically this is a RELAUNCH because the first launch was deemed unacceptable by many hence why we now have ARR

I payed for FFXI for 6-7 years, probably spent a lot more money filling SE's wallet then you ever have. Yet you don't see me, or others like me complaining they owe me for being a loyal customer.

Be glad with what you got. A free game, to keep your chars, and a tonne of small extra's everyone else had to pay for. Some of you sound so childish when you go on your entitled binges.
