no lv50 dungeons on release?!

i just read the Q&A from Live letter

Q: When randomly choosing content through the Duty Finder you said that the rewards will become significantly better, but exactly what kind of rewards get better?
A: We plan on implementing this system in patch 2.1 when we add dungeons for level 50 characters.

so no lv50 dungeons?????? all this awesome dungeons shown in dungeon crawler p2 are up until lv49? SE is kidding me right?

Interesting. Who knows though, I've seen these Q&A's get spat back out with a million different translations. I'll wait until release..also even if the 50 dungeons are not in the game I'm ok with it. I'd like to take some time to get my bearings before going into the dungeons.

You have very much taken that answer out of context.
We already have AV/CC from 1.23 as well as Binding Coil of Bahamut that are confirmed for release. Please do a little more research before losing all hope.

I think they just meant 'add more dungeons' in 2.1

I think AV/CC have had their levels adjusted, if you watch the new dungeon video SE put out (where they show them off in sort of level order) They have other dungeons coming after them which hints they won't be lvl 50 dungeons, i could be wrong though.

The equipment requirements of the items that dropped from those dungeons in 1.0 still remain level 50 so I'm sure that's what level the dungeons will be.

All of the Hard Mode Primal fights will be level 50, probably along with AV/CC/DD. The screenshot of the dungeon with the Demon Wall (Admapor Keep I think?) looked to be level 50 content too.

I'm okay with this if the Level 50 dungeons simply not ready yet. I'd rather have them completed then rushed for launch and super buggy. Rushed content usually leads to bad game play and bad game play leads to less subscribers.

I've watched two big MMOs communities die out because of it. :(

But in all honesty...it's not that big of a deal. There are TONS of dungeons (regardless of low level or not) that will keep everyone occupied until they release the lv50 dungeons. (This is based off of the dungeon crawl part 1&2 videos, not sure if all those are in on release though :x). Plus you will have to advance far enough into the storyline or do quests to unlock them anyway. There will be PLENTY to see and do to keep us all occupied! Can't wait!

That's in reference to using the Duty Finder to randomize your selection and being rewarded for doing so (Token System). He said when they add more level 50 dungeons, you'll see this. There are level 50 dungeons in-game, so don't worry.

Here are some of the High-level dungeons that'll be in FFXIV, if you haven't seen it yet.

It contains a few dungeons from 1.0 which were level 45-50, so not exactly on level 50+ like the crystal tower should be, but close enough.
These dungeons are:
Cutter's cry - with sand traps and frustrating puzzle rooms
Aurum Vale - with toxic pools and poison gas
Dzemael Darkhold

You've also got some new places such as:
Amdapor Keep - looks to be a gathering place for the Cultists kown as "The lambs of Dalamud"
The Stone Vigil- An Ishgard stronghold that's either been overrun by their enemies the Dragons and their ilk
Sunken Temple of Qarn
The Wanderer's Palace - Tonberries... need I say more?

Not sure what level the new ones are, but most likely higher than Haukke Manor at least.

What Yoshi probably means is adding more dungeons for the 50+

Also not sure how hard mode versions of dungeons are going to work, they might be level 50 also, though that also opens the question of what rewards you get for beating them.

As for hard "mode" dungeons, if I recall and am not mistaken, I think they want to make a separate dungeon layout with new bosses for lvl 50+ versions, not just pumping up the content to lvl 50+, which if true, would be really nice and more new content to look forward to:) Also one if the dungeons, forgot what it was as I only ran it once in beta, had a room with different colored gates, which not all of them opened during the run, which makes that dungeon easily capable of implementing this.

and people here seem to have forgotten there revenge against the empire in Castrum :/

I do know that some of the lvl 20 & 30 dungeons have a Lvl 50 side as well.. like Halatali dungeon in which if you stare at the picture long enough from one of the letters you will know notice the final boss is a two-three headed dragon where Ogre is only mid-boss this time.

highest mob level i seen in phase 4 was lv49. not sure if there adding anything stronger till 2.1 or higher.

You have to remember...this game is being treated like a brand new game. That we just happen to have our old characters on. By the time anyone starting out NOW will have a 50 character (normally)...we'll probably have patch 2.1 or be at the point where there's Lv50 dungeons.

Since they are still part of the relic quest I'm quite sure they still be 50ish dungeons

I am aware that there are no 24m raids at 50 yet. But, there are definitely dungeons

I think also Adampor Keep is a lv50 dungeon at the release.

I don't think that's gonna happen until the first expansion at the earliest, which is probably more than a year away.

All of the endgame dungeons in FFXIV 1.0 were accessible at level 45. Nobody intelligent would take anyone at that level but you could techincally call them lv45 dungeons.

The "level 50" dungeons they speak of will most likely require careful planning and the best gear obtainable prior to that point in order to beat.

There are at lest 8 leveling dungeons for 4 ppl, when you hit 50 you can play them as hard mode at lvl 50 then there are two 8 man dungeons witch are harder, after that there is the LOB witch will start with 8 man then when the crystal tower come out in 2.1 they will make LOB for 24 ppl.

Agreed. I'm not particularly worried about level 50 dungeons currently. I have tons of story quests, guild quests, various logs, and a bunch of lower level content that want to do, so the level 50 content isn't even a blip on my radar yet, even though I'm already high level from 1.0.

I at least hope the highest level dungeons available to us pre-2.1 will drop the tokens so I can get mah crafting mats . Or they need to put that stuff someplace else and not just on Roewna's employee.
