Registering a Payment Method before Early Access and Release Day?

Will players be required to register a payment method to their SE account before being able to play on the 24th and 27th?

For 1.0 players the first month will be free, but it is my understanding that not all players will be receiving a free month. Also, just because the first month is free, that does not mean that a payment method will not have to be linked to your account before playing.

During the launch of 1.0, players had the option to pre-register their payment method, so that the payment method registration server would not become overloaded at launch.

Will preregistration become available before the 24th?

An official statement from SE concerning payment method registration would help alleviate the concerns of many players.

The FFXIV:Mog Station isn't live yet, so no you can't register any payment information yet for FFXIV.
You'll have to wait a little bit longer, the Lodestone and the forums will most likely update with details on this, so keep a watchful eye.

Most likely when launch date and the Moggle Station management system goes live you will have up to 2 weeks to register a payment method as that is the lowest amount of days any account can play without a payment.

I remember on beta forums there was a post about bonus stuff you get for playing for certain amounts of time ex 30day sub 60day sub 90day sub?? any info on that?

1.0 players do not get a free month unless they repurchase the game, from my understanding. They do, however, get the game free and fourteen days for free (September 9th).

I'm sure a week or two after launch they'll at least have something up by then for 1.0 players that wish to continue their subscription but weren't able to put in their information before. That's when the opportunity will open up as well for the rest of the players.

Only if you buy for PS3.

14 days are for ALL returning players, however.

You cannot repurchase the game as it is anyway. They won't let you replace the existing code.

v.1. accounts - 2 weeks free

That picture also confirms what I been suspecting, you can continue to play the game without a physical copy of your game in hand until August 30th.

For those who pre-order, is there any way we can get our full game registration codes early?

We're working to get everything confirmed before making an announcement, but for those who receive their early access codes, we're considering adjusting the early access to include a short period after official service begins. This would help ensure users can play in the event their package is not delivered on time. This may not guarantee players will be able to play the entire time until their package is delivered, but we will do what we can to make the transition to release as smooth as possible.

That is a good question. They said that you get the rewards when you pay but all other P2P games I've been in would only charge you after the 30 days no matter what subscription plan you setup. So logically, I think you'd have to wait the 30 days unless you're one of the 1.0 players without the free 30 days and only have the free 14. In which case, the earliest would be 2 weeks after launch for anyone to get veteran rewards.

I just patched the client, and it made me do a new terms of service agreement... in the second agreement section 4 was subscriptions, and it said that we would need to add a sub to get into the game there.... even though we get 30 days free. Take for what it's worth.

I would think you have to wait until the Mog Station launches. I can be wrong but didn't they say they are going to use that for subscription & such services.

It would also be nice to know if payments can be made through psn? I know the current payments methods of crysta, credit card, or the new time cards but payments through psn have not been clarified. I played dcuo from release and they always offered it for their subscriptions. I have a friend in canada who may not get to play due to not owning a credit card and his village is too small to recieve the time cards. It seems se would be missing a piece of the market without this option. If anyone has info on such payment method it would helpful.

That's true what i seen so far

So, if you purchased the digital download from SquareEnix, does it automaticly just add the game to your account? Or do you get a code later that adds the game and 30 days free to your account.

i was wondering about sub part hope new players do get free month only got 7 dollars on my card after pre ordering got wait tell sep before i get more cash lol.

Looking at this URL: https://secure.square-enix.com/accou...vc/mogstation/ : It seems the 27th but that could just be parked there and actually go up earlier. That's just what it says right now. I have no way to confirm this as of now.
