Same here, but my case worse than u guys, Log in new account but linked to old account(that had been suspended) that why i'm so confuse which accounts was registered.
*I'm ordered from Greenman Gaming too and what they replied for this issue.

Had the same problem with 2 EU codes. The response I got from GMG was pretty pathetic and basically told me to go through square-enix support.
I also pre order from GMG and hav exact same problem
GMG answer is also exact the same as above
the ticket i send to SE so far is useless since there is no sign it gonna get answer
I also dont hav time to phone to customer support due to my work time
so can someone finally answer something about this ?

Sound like GMG been handing out same code to different customers. Why not cancel order with GMG and order else where?

And I wouldnt expect an answer here to be honest. With the number of tickets the support team have, I'm sure they are too busy to even check forum.
Got the same issue with an eu pc code. Bought it from shopto.
Guys, I ordered from GMG and earlier I was having "Error 2" as well, I tried it repeatedly and I got my 20-digits code. Although I have a problem with my SE account(only the beta registration is available and no signs of the early access) at least you can rest assured that the orders from GMG will work out.
GreenManGaming say SE said so.. but still no answer yet.

in their beta forums it is obvious a number of customers who purchase from
your company suffered from this problem.
If the redemption website shows "Error 3: There is some problem. Please try
again" Yes it is Square-Enix problem. But what shows is "Error 2: The code
has alrady been used." Which means the code is having problems.
Can't you help me by re-issue another code to me and inform Square Enix
about it instead of leaving me stranded after taking my money.

i am also getting error 2, i however ordered through gamestop.

The SE support team had sent me the reply. They just told me I should check my spam and junk folders.

I am also getting this error message, and I purchased my game directly from the square enix store online on July 15th. It looks like I may not get into early access, which is upsetting since I pre-ordered for the sole reason of getting into early access.
I also pre-ordered from the official Square website July 15 and I am also getting error 2. After spamming it for a while, it started giving me error 3 instead of error 2 but now it is back to error 2 again.
12 hour pass, still no update
counting the fact that it 3 days now
This is BS, after lengendary 1.0 fail launch and this launch
SE should remake their entire database system or hire new guys who know how to do this job
This is worst then not having any pre order codes. 1 more day of waiting. Am prepared to miss early access so much for supporting by buying early.

my code suppose to be EU code, but i try register new NA account, put the 18 code in
and BAM! it give out 20 digit code... but you know what ? it give me 20 digit EU code.....
and then i copy my 20 digit back to my EU account
surprise ! it work

From my observation, it seems like people that bought on 15th July has this problem with their code.
Bought on June 21
Bought on july 1
Bought the Digital Download CE from Green Man Gaming on 7th July.
Was getting every Error (1, 2 AND 3) randomly when I entered my code. Mainly Error 3.
Contacted GMG - got the usual response of "Contact SE".
HOWEVER - after about 24hrs of trying, my code went through, no problems. Got my 20-digit, entered it into the Moogle Site, and Pre-Order complete.
I think the issue is more to do with SE than GMG.
Unfortunately, courtesy of so many variable errors, if there truly IS an problem with your code from the seller, it is getting buried under the SE problems and you wont know for certain until its too late.

I would created a thread for trying to bring a the devs in Tech Support , but I'm out of post and sadly ''I cannot create thread'' which I think its bs but in the other hands I think its normal for not having spam from the same thread every 15seconds. The Error 2 code you described is the result of a code that has already been registered on another account being used. In some cases the code may have been registered to an account even if an error was generated during the redemption. Should you have thereafter changed accounts and once more tried to register the code you would have encountered the Error 2 message.
Re-redeeming a pre-order code on the correct Square Enix Account should allow you to view the Early Access code again.
