Where is the first intro movie?

while I'm waiting for the next beta phase, I was watching some videos but now I cant find the first intro movie in youtube, does anyone has it to download it?, I found some in youtube (not in the official channel) but they lack in quality and/or frame rate.

I have all the official FFXIV videos linked on my linkshell site here. It looks like everything prior to the auto-attack preview video of patch 1.18 was made private.

I'm supposing this was done in preparation of ARR and to avoid confusion. :/

yes I think u're right, I hope we can have access to that video again sometime, I really want to have it :'(

I remember reading in an older thread, there was a way to actually view the original opening for 1.0 directly from the game file itself, as the movie file is actually in WMV format with it's file extension hidden as DAT - and I found the thread in question (first post on this page has the answer): http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...o-Delete/page4

Of course this will only work if you still have the original 1.0 client installed naturally. ;)

it has answer sing as the BGM, it show the opening for all the 3 city, then some in game capture
i think its pre 1.0 launch trailer, so SE youtube channel has it taken down

Thanks for that nugget of information. Who knew that overly large dat file held such cinematic goodness!

There's a bunch of movies from a topic I made, that others helped me find great cutscenes in.

Sad we will lose all Intro we did during 1.0 that we were able to watch in INN. Wish they would kept it for those we were in 1.0. But make a new section for 2.0 in the book so we can go back and watch the 1.0 one we did ^^
