Random Beta invites FTL....

So I just found out my brother, who never played FFXIV, has been invited to beta..

I did so much in this game to build the community and keep people playing.
I spent soo many long nights and crazy hours, beating everything there was to beat, building and organizing parties and helping everyone I could..
Yes I even paid for a few months, but not enough for legacy..

But people who didn't even care about FFXIV, are getting beta invites for ARR, before people like me? Man, I feel like I got slapped in the face..

Ugh, I guess I just have to deal with it..

Yes simple answer is that they want people who never played FFXIV to play it. It's to promote there game so they have more player base at release. Also they get a better understand on what players who never play ffxi/ffxiv want for there game so they could bring even more players.

I have lot's of friends who also got the invite who never played FFXIV but that the point lol.

I felt about the same way during alpha. Don't worry, you'll get lucky in time.

Also what the hurry? there only grid in beta lol beta3/4 is where it at :)

You're not missing anything. Betas generally have no real content.

If it is your brother...just use his account and play the game, you would think having you and your bro is double chances you get for beta. Also you cannot talk about getting into beta. Why is this thread even created?

wow!!!! what a sore loser you do know that beta4 is open beta right? Also like Azmar said he your brother use his dam account to play when he not on, hard is that o.o

every time beta are send out we always get a topic about someone saying about the same thing... no wonder NA forums have so many topics we make 550000 about the same thing.

Probably because of NDA... And how people shouldn't be telling other people that they got into beta... I'm not in beta and I wish I was but I'm waiting on Phase 3. But it would be a bit of a kindness to wait patiently instead of making threads like this though it is understandable to be frustrated. There are many people waiting to be invited to beta so perhaps a thread based around that would have been better? Like I dunno a support group that promotes something more constructive. Also, Solace, as a kindness it might be best to leave anyone you know is in beta out of what you say. A vague "some one I know of" would have been better but even then it's just best to leave them out if possible.

Threads like this one are too tempting for some to hint or share things that they know about beta testing which just results in trouble for them. It's foolish and sad.

Beta is in phase 2 right now, meaning Phase 3 will start soon and the NDA will be lifted. Then the people in beta can talk all about it, including whether or not it's worth complaining about.

I, for one, would be thankful for an opportunity to just TOUCH the game, let alone be part of its development. So I can appreciate your longing to be allowed to join.
