Will there be coffee?

I know Yoshi-P is a definite coffee drinker, but will we see this elixir of life come ARR?

Who wouldn't want to have a nice cup of Fair Trade Gridanian Shade Grown before a long day of adventuring?

I've always sort of conceptualized coffee as a rare, exotic, expensive imported Eastern drink. Probably just my Aht Urhgan experience in XI showing.

I loved making coffee in XI with cooking XD Totally want to make it in XIV too! :p Would be nice if the item description had a mention of the SE staff and how they cannot live without the stuff lol :p

I also remember a quest where you gave some to the guy working on your automaton to keep him going (and getting better/quicker results), so I foresee something like this happening in XIV.

Yes! I think he was working on automaton turbans and frames? It's been so long! But totally awesome lol. Would be nice if there was a quest that had a 24h (game hours) wait and if you fed him coffee every 4hrs you could cut the time down to 12h (game hours) lol

i want a quest where you can fetch the wandering minstrel a pack of smokes and some coffee. preferably repeatable for seals.

I agree as well. Let there be coffee! It also should have a Resist Sleep effect.

As long as I have lots of sweet various creamers to go with my coffee I'll be fine. :D

Coffee and Cigarettes.

If Yoshi-P doesn't mind about cigarettes in the game, I would use it every time I go AFK. Maybe increase your mind (thinking) and losing 1 HP per a second. :D

Just kidding, I wish I could stop drinking coffee everyday, I am very addicted to it.

If you stop cold turkey you're gonna give yourself a mega headache, my little sis is having the same trouble with energy drinks ><. Try to wean yourself off it slowly, but stay hydrated to hep fight off the pain^^

...Fair trade pfft... The Immortal flames only drink 100% lalafell slave driven coffee, and it tastes delicious - the tears especially.

IRL I drink sugar, with a little coffee. My wife demands coffee in the morning (I'm a tea drinker) and so.. I make liquid sugar and add a little caffeine I guess lol

I understand there could be some issues with introducing alcohol as items (though WoW does it I believe), I would love to see this as a possibility.

A quest involving a drinking game of which you pass out and end up somewhere random would be so awesome :P

I blame International Delight because it tastes too good! Even tho, I drink like 2-3 cups a day and I have learned not to drink energy drinks many years ago. yay!

I think it's more important that they offer spirits. We have bars and stuff, I hope they don't sanitize it and have bars serve juice like in FFXI.

As a coffee fan, I had no choice but to deliver this suggestion to the development team.

STATUS: SUGGESTION ACCEPTED!

They let us know that if there are any fitting stats and story surrounding any food item (like coffee beans from the Southern country) they will most likely introduce it. ;)
