Do all legacy players get in on the 25th, or only those that are 'summoned' by email today as the recent lodestone post suggests?

Are they staggering it for legacy peeps too?

Any refs to previous threads, let me know, I don't remember seeing clarification on it. Soz...

I don't see any reason why not all legacy would get in.
They said that you're pretty much forced into it, even if you deleted your account or something :)

Everyone is getting in, just the e-mails seem to be going out in waves till the 25th.

Well that gives me 10 days to finish Dark Souls.

I'm guessing you all get REALLY excited whenever you get a FFXIV newsletter email.

Personally, I can't wait to play the beta (with a controller, that is) and try out the FATE system.
It kind of sounds like the random events that take place in GW2 from what I've read, but maybe it's something far from it. Regardless, just wanted to say that I'll see you all in game! :D

That's not the point of a beta though. Beta is meant for stress testing servers along with free bug testing from the community.

Even if they send the invites in waves, you should receive yours eventually, meaning no legacy player is worse off merely confirming their invitee status.

Otherwise, you might as well start denying being legacy as well.

I have participated in plenty of beta tests (some currently at the moment) to know what they're for and I did my fair share of that in alpha and I will probably do more off and on. I am actually one of those people that sends detailed reports.

You have a fair point however I find it difficult to believe that so many people would get overly excited for stress tests and reporting bugs.

I have yet to see a post along the lines of "Boy I can't wait to submit a ton of bug reports."

No reason for people to get all over me for it and I knew the bugs / stress thing would be pointed out. Just saying I guess I am not as excited as some people.
Call me selfish for enjoying progression and not wanting to play the same area over and over when they've had a lot of time to iron out major issues as it is.. i'll accept that =) /shrug.

Well, you do get a Beta Registration code ( if that's how your account gets flagged). Not sure if your account auto gets the status before putting in the code, I don't know that (because I wasn't in Alpha).

for alpha I was emailed a download link. My account was flagged so I could log into the client.

If I for some reason get a separate code, I'd be happy to give it out!

Well, at phase 3 and 4 Most people will be in the beta ( Phase 3 will be like an open Beta but you would still need a code) and if you gave away your code, then you probably wouldn't be able to get into beta till phase 4.
