Vanquish Knights Reborn! (or to be renamed later)

Post here or let us know on Enjin if you're wanting to team up for ARR. A lot of us are keeping in touch so we can get the ball rolling as soon as we get to use our real characters in Beta. All of our old friends from VK, DivinityLS & Karnak/Excalibur are welcome to join us (as well as alll you EU players who left for Ragnarok if you're coming back) :D I think we're going to have a more hardcore approach this time around (scheduled farms for all content), but we're still the same group of laid back gamers so there wont be any over the top rules and no dkp system (we loot based on need and how many drops you have). Beta will be here before we know it!

Divinity was full of good people such as yourself and everyone else we used to play with :D I'd give anything to have everyone back besides maybe one person ^^

yeah, but remember that one was the head of the snake lol. i talked to darksno, roboto, and viper and they said they were probably coming back to try out arr. i've been begging for months to finally get a probably out of them lol.

i'm hoping we see a ton of old faces come back as arr kicks off.

Yeah I can't argue there was definitely bad blood between him and a lot of people (some warranted for sure, some not). I will say he always treated me fairly though (above and beyond really) and a lot of my best memories from 1.0 are while we were playing with him. At least while I was there, 100% of the bad reputation the LS had was based on personal vendettas between him and other people. The actual linkshell was full of some of the nicest people on the server and went out of its way to help out other players and linkshells all the time. So if I make enemies with someone just because they don't like him, so be it :P

oh i completely agree with you man. there were very few groups i really have fond memories of playing with over the course of 1.0. envy,the original alliance, divinity, the original temperance, titans, and crystal knights were all great groups of people. people like grey, rumple, julius, baba, viper, sno, hellz, chaos, rydin, cena, chris, noel, sis, cersei, ox, shiz, atlas, brent, moose, micah, runic, and many others(including you and your brother) are what made 1.0 such an enjoyable game for the duration.

i said it many times, but without friends like the great people i met in karnak/excalibur i believe i would have left long ago. a big thanks to all of those listed and to many others i know i left out for making xiv a fun game to play.

p.s. yeah, i didn't have many issues with him either, but you know how some old grudges never die with some people.

not have. we had. he left when they announced payments.

he wasn't a bad guy at all honestly 99% of the time, but when he'd drink he changed. he is just one of those that would rub someone the wrong way and some people held hard grudges and never could let them go so anyone that spoke to him were guilty by association for a long time. you know how it is when you deal with someone everyday you can overlook that one day they are rude, but when you only speak to them a few times that one bad incident sticks out.

there were a few rude people on karnak and that i will not disagree with at all, but for every 1 of those rude people there were hundreds of great people on the server. those great people are the ones that kept me playing even with as flawed as the game was. i didn't let those few influence me because, quite frankly, there's nowhere on the net you are going to go where everyone is nice.

also santi. i believe i know who you are talking about, but there's 3 that really could be that person i can think of. all 3 of them left the game, but 1 of those 3 returned later.

Poet did Viper, Sophia, Angel and the other guys come back at all?

well vg, sno, and robo left after the first major set of battle changes because they thought battle was way too slow. i've finally got them talked into coming back to at least give arr a shot once it comes back online.

chaos left and went back to xi. he got engaged and has a lil one now so he doesn't play at all anymore from my understanding. i haven't been able to catch him online to ask him in months now though.

i didn't think sophia quit playing the game. he had told us he was moving over to the eu server when they did the server merge. i haven't spoken to him since to see if he's still playing.

agreed completely. i am still undecided which group i'd go with if the groups of friends i play with went opposite ways. i have a strange feeling if they do give us an option that i'll have to decide though because i know some would stay global and some would go regional if they had a choice. i just haven't been able to speak with enough people to know who is going which way. i hope to be able to get more info during beta on that.

It does leave a bit of uncertainty out there as far as which region Excalibur will end up in. It really didn't seem like there was any delay/lag issues so far though (even on crappy laptops running on high settings :P), so I see a lot of people just staying put no matter where it ends up. Even people like me who swore they were moving to an NA server no matter what.

We're doing well! Like a lot of us, we're just biding our time until Beta gets here. Been playing a little bit of Tera, but really all that does is make me miss FF even more. I miss my slow leveling, relevant crafting, leve parties (or just the need for parties, period.) and dungeons/Boss fights that actually required skill/discipline to learn how to beat, lol. All these other games are a joke compared to what we had... you can hit cap in just a couple weeks and chances are you'll beat everything in the game without a single party wipe...yawn :P

Way to go Tino you found some old friends although it seems the thread did not go the way I thought it would but still no worries I am sure one day we will find friends to join us in our great adventure........ well technically it did considering that sno, vg, robo, sophia, chaos, and myself were all original members of alliance which was the first version of vanquish. i'll still be there in arr and sno, vg, and robo are returning back to the game.

Wow I just wrote a massive post with a tonne of quote replies but it's bugged the f**k out, no way I'm writing that again so yeah to summarise:

o Depending on server lag I will choose server. (would much prefer to be with old friends and the global community though)

o Awesome seeing some of you guys are gonna be around for 2.0, I will be on Excalibur for the beta at the very least :)

o Hopefully server lag has been done away with, I played PSO2 for a coupla of months with friends on the JP server and experienced zero lag.

I won't be moving my main back to whichever server you guys all end up on but I will be making an alt to play with you guys :)

Were you saying that you guys want to be a part of this new LS/FC? I will add you to our head count if so...would love to play with you all again. I know the title says VK Reborn, but that was mainly just to catch the eye of old friends since most of us played with the Alliance/VK at some point or another (and unless things have changed, the old Master is not remaking it). All the details of this LS/FC are still in the works as we are still nameless, leaderless and homeless. We just know we want to be somewhere that we can trust to be around for a long time since there should be tons of crafting/gathering involved with building up your FC and it would be horrible to have to start over/join a new one after weeks/months of grinding :P There's no better way to ensure it goes well than to do it with people you trust and have known for 2+ years :D

I've seen zero lag and I've yet to see any other game since 1.0 be even close to as bad as the ifrit pepperonis or CC's 100 ton swing. I think that "lag" will die with 1.0 :D We'll see how Beta performs once we get to try out some real dungeons and primals though!

Yeah, same here Drewbie. Building an exclusive farm group is nice - it can get you what you're farming for a lot faster - but I also prefer having a large community of players from all regions in my guild/ls. Its nice to be able to hop on and get something going at any given moment ^^

i'd love to say yes i'm going to join ya santi, but until we get all the info on how they plan to do the server jumps for global/regional servers i'm not sure which way i'll be going. i'm waiting on that final info to come out before i tell anyone that i know where i plan to go. i would believe that sno and them would join you guys for sure if they did decide to stay when they come back after arr.

there's just so many questions at this point to even know who all is still planning to return that we played with just a few months ago and then take more from over a year ago and there's just too much uncertainty. i'm really hoping that by the time we get to the 4th stage of beta things will be a lot more clear and i can give you an honest answer before then.

edit: i just don't want to say yes or no until i can say either with any conviction. hopefully we'll all know more in the next few weeks as we get beta kicked off. i'll have to catch up with you guys on chat so i can keep ya informed.

It's Patially to do with me being in the UK I think, I was active for the last few months - however I didn't get up to much Ifrit since my LS was disbanded. Hopefully you're right though :)
