Anima Crystal Rechargers

350 shards= 4 Anima
30 crystals= 5 Anima
1 Cluster= 10 Anima

Obtain Anima for crystals by any repair npc.
This would help burn overwhelming number of crystals many players have by trading shards for extra anima.

Would this be good idea? Yes or no explain why?

What have repair to do with anima?
3 Anima from food would be better.

Trade repair npc the crystals and converts it into anima for you. Ton of players leaving 1.0 had least 90000~140000 crystals.

yeah i like this. that is if they are still going with the anima system in ffxiv? it sucked, the last months with being able to fill it from atamos was the first time i ever had enough anima to do everything i wanted to do. enough to hope to help others without asking for a pick up, or not having to run and meet people at the spot for a tele to save some anima. it's bs, it's a limitation for most people. and it feels like a punishment. other mmo's even ffxi didn't do this or make it feel like a punishment.

but anywho ..yeah good idea. though a event for it would be much more fun way to do it. preferably party dungeon that fills it. but that would be on them. but i'll take shards any day ...long as it fills my anima up everytime.

What they should do is decrease the anima in which player get every 4 hours and Increase it to 7. Increase it to 4 hours when sleeping in INN and let players trade shards/crystals/clsuters for anima. If anything this would just jack up the price of shards,crystals a bit. Clusters wouldnt be worth it for anima since they are rare. My character has least 120000 crystals in which I dont really plan on using since all we do is levequests mainly for exp. All they can do to really combat this is increase # of crystals to craft an item and decrease crystals from dropping.

eventually they will raise our caps though and clusters will begin dropping like candy and being used like candy in higher level crafts. least that is what i pictured happening after they start raising level caps. i really don't care what they do long as i always have anima :)

If this happened then there'd end up being an insane shortage of crystals for crafting. Usually when planning a crafting budget u don't take the price of crystals into account and only think about the ingredient prices. If this happened the prices of crystals would jump and the lack would become a crafting hindrance.

Well firstly I think we should have 350 shard fee and have it decreased down to 200 within next year and to 100 year after that. Were fighting enemies that give 8+ shards and doing levequests that have no shard crystal requirements. We have too many shards. Each server should have somthing like 180mil~260mil shards. I personally think its fine fight now but might need to take a look at down the lines for decreasing the amount needed for anima.

If anything it would break it down to 130mil~200mil shards.
Edit: By next year if we do nothing about it should turn into 430mil shards with launch of 2.0 and player increase.

Wanna know what takes way less time to do than farm 350 shards? Running to your destination on foot/chocoback!

No more anima refill options, please! If you're that pressed for time, leave earlier!

No need to farm shards if everything drops shards.

There is nothing wrong with having too much of shards, go sell it if you dont use it

and I see that even you start to doubt your own concept, by decreasing/changing the trade rate by years
what years, if I might know? years since ARR launch? years since a new player activate?
too many parameters and you ended making yourself like a fool

How about gear instead of crystals, and place a limit on trade-ins so that you can't continuously abuse the system? :D

Well... you also have to take into consideration that shards are going away, we'll only have crystals, perhaps clusters. But no more shards.

Also I've found myself in need of shards more than a couple of times. Ive even seen someone shouting to buy them on my server when the market wards ran out. If anima could be traded for crystals you need to realize that there would be a huge demand for them. Most pple would stop selling theirs and hoard in case they ran out and those who do would inflate the price.

I've never had problems with anima b4. You could always just buy hamlet donation items and get anima if you need it, or you could save urself the money and just do 1 hamlet run when u run out.
I always thought the anima system was easy.

ah yeah i forgot bout hamlets. if we can fill up from that or added new dungeons or content then i rather do it that way ...either way like i said ...don't care how long as i can never walk somewhere i would normally just free port.

The prices you have for anima seem too low... anima was meant to a very limited resource so people would be careful to not waste a teleport... (unless you do hamlet a lot) Maybe 350 shards for 1 anima and so on for crystals, and clusters

although walking promotes patience...

I'm not dismissing this idea. :D I think having more options for anima is better.

But I would rather reward doing things for anima, rather than getting anima for drops off mobs. Having F.A.T.E raids reward anima (which essentially what Atomos was, a 1.0 F.A.T.E), is a better idea, imo. Since F.A.T.E will be in most areas, you have the option of replenishing anima, without having to return to a town. :3

Did u guys forget about hamlet and caravan? Already had way too many refill excess from them. Although... it was only accessible minimum on lvl 45. :p

Yh. it seems some people either forgot or just weren't aware of the already present anima refills. Also, even though u could only do caravan and hamlet at 45, u could easily gather or just buy the items to refill ur anima.

This. Super easy, you also got a huge bonus if you were first to turn in an item for provisioning. Anima was easy to obtain in 1.0 with a little planning, and very little time/effort. For example 25mins = 100 anima for a 50k Hamlet. Caravans, while it took longer, were also a great way to gather said items, plus you earned GC seals.

besides, a little side to worry is that since it's so easy to refill anima in 1.0, the process might changed greatly in ARR... and might not be in a good way, as in more slower process to get it. :p

Either way, gonna see how it goes when ARR finally arrives. ^^

(gonna miss those 0 anima teleport :lol: )

999 shards= 1Anima
99 crystals= 4 Anima
99 Cluster= 8 Anima

this way people wont go crazy and sell shit load of shards,crystal and stuff for so cheap that then noobs can't even make profit selling the most common item in the game.

I was thinking somewhat the same thing but a reward for helping others with missions or maybe a combination of the many things lost of crystals / shards or you help someone with a mission depends how hard it is you completed you get your rewards anima and money but needs to stack up to 1k

This must have been the 40+ caravans, because the 20+ ones I spammed for a week straight to get my Chocobo Mask didn't give any anima as a reward.

Every successful caravan lvl 40 runs will rewards special item in 10 quantities (it's different item on each of 3 caravan sites). Each 10 then traded to hamlet officers for 4 animas, which also counts toward supplying for hamlet although it's a very small sum.

OR you can sell your shards and buy some hamlet items to trade in, then you'll not only have anima for your shards, but you'll have actually been involved in the in-game economy! Just think of all the jingle-sinies and clink clink going around!

Really? Wow I've done tons of lvl 45 or 50 runs and never cashed in on anima...

lol

Back then I was saving all of those special rewards and finally used it all to finance my last seal required for starting A Relic Reborn quest.

Let's just hope all of those efforts are still accountable in ARR. :)

I love the people who suggest running everywhere.. unlike people who live at home with no jobs or obligations I work for a living.. however I would still like to enjoy the game.. therefore not having quick transportation effects me directly so yes.. a way to recharge anima would be ideal..

Same system already has been put in for FFXI. Let's see how it works for that game.
Really has been no problems with it so far and its more costly then FF14 crystals.
2k in ffxi would give players 6 warps. That be like 300 shards.

I 2nd that actually. Been almost 2 months since starting FF11 and already there's lots of options for fast travels:
- Airship
- Chocobo
- The job specific warp spells like whm, summoner, etc.
- Outpost warp if done supply mission there which already covers lots of grounds for me
- Abyssea warp, almost abolish the need of airship
- The newest December 2012 patch which introduces proto ports which I suspect real-closely related to upcoming expansion: Seekers of Aldoulin. These proto ports not only enable players to warp to non-nation towns like Selbina-Mhaura-etc, but also to dungeons (although alot of this are not easy to unlock but will be great help).

Even now I feel that ease-transportation in FF11 starting to beat old FF14 anima port in a sense. lol

Would be heavily aganist this.

More p2w ideas (pay to win). If there is an issue with the transportation system it needs to be fixed from the inside.

I do think anima and hamlet together / atomos made the world in 1.0 tiny. There is also the inverse problem when those anima refreshing things didn't exists. They needed some teleport 'spells' and more natural transportation then (I'm saying you cant just yank this system out, but I do wish it would be changed somehow / replaced - and paying to play better is not an acceptable change imo).

Since Anima being abolished in ARR, this discussion is rather moot.

Apparently, free teleportation will be the rule of the day.

But this also means that you will have to reach all destinations on foot before you can teleport there -- which is good.

Not sure how I feel about the free world teleporting. But, the anima expenditure was silly (swimming in it (hamlet) or always disappointed) so I guess I'm happy that's gone.

i bet they end up with you paying gil to teleport lol it make little more sense. Anyways i don't know how i feel about no anima to teleport i guess there just not caring about the old storyline.

The point of anima was that the teleport crystal have a limit how many time your body can be broken down and send to other crystal your soul could not be broken down so it just follow the steam. Once you reach the crystal your body is put back together and your soul enter it.

So your body don't get over damage the npc don't allow people to teleport more then they should i guess 5years later that does not matter anymore lol. I bet a lot of people don't even know that why we had anima to start with seeing how SE did such a bad job at adding side storyline to this game lol.

It will definitely end up using gil to teleport, why makes things overly complicated with different currencies? It doesnt serves any purpose and would require another explanation yada yada.
