Design your dream FFXIV Wedding Attire (Last Community Fun Thread)

With the announcement in an old interview of weddings being in FFXIV (Housed in Gridania....) I've decided to start one last community thread,
Design FFXIV's Wedding Attire:

FFXI had Unique wedding gear for males and females (Male sets weren't added until 2010)

RULES: THIS THREAD REQUIRES YOU TO DRAW

-You MAY do the following

• Design your dream wedding attire based upon FFXI's Argent set (male) or Opaline dress (Female) for FFXIV
  
• You may outfit all races and genders in your wedding attire design
  
• You may collaborate with another artist on the design

-----------------------------------------------------------------

-You may NOT do the following:

• Cut/Paste/photoshop a dress on your character
  
• Post a random picture
  
• use an existing image that belongs to someone else
  
• use a screenshot not pertaining to the entry rules
  
• use an in-game screenshot
  
• use screenshots from an anime, movie cut/pase heads onto bodies
  
• If you are not going to follow the rules, then do not bother posting here if you're not going to make the effort nor take the time to draw. I will have the thread locked.

Why the "last" thread? I like these threads :D

This will be my last thread given that I won't be here until ARR.

I think the whole "use normal looking gear and paint it white" thing is a bit dull. Hopefully they do something more original for XIV.

I also hope they have personalised rings with your spouse's name in the item name.

How is that gear normal looking? It looks nothing like anything else I remember from FFXI.

Whatever se uses I hope its an actual dress...a long dress :/ the xi one was kinda meh..

They didn't do long flowing garments because they didn't have cloth simulations in FFXI, as far as I can gather anyway. I would expect more appropriate looking dresses in FFXIV if implemented.

Oh, I wasn't referring to that gear specifically, although it does look a bit generic to be honest.

The clothing isn't all that important IMO, but I am really hopeful that the rings are something special and either have the name engraved or some sort of customisation.

Something like a blue named ring with "[Partner's name]'s Love" or something like that would be cool.

Well, in all fairness the XI opaline dress used the base model for doublets. Since we have stuff like Vanya floating around, it wouldn't surprise me to see them use that as the base for a wedding dress in XIV.

The male wedding outfit I never liked, but that's because I'm an evil westener that disagrees with the whole "white = purity" thing. As we know, males wear black in our weddings, and I'd like that option here.

If I'm not mistaken the male outfit was a re-purposed Corsair AF model for the most part. I think that particular style in black would have looked a bit strange, but I do agree I'd like more color options (Dumb and Dummer Sky Blue and Orange? Yes please!)

Heck, I was one of the few who participated in your knee-high thread. I'll draw something for this later.

This thread is really cool! It would be a really great way to introduce the marriage system (by allowing players to design outfits). I'd love to contribute more then +1's but I am a horrible artist >.> lol
