BLM's are the ones who do the killing. Its a BLM burn. BRD is there to cheer them on ^^

What is the strat exactly? It's an obvious BLM zerg, but I did see them stop @ 65%. What is the idea behind it? Also, how geared do the BLMs have to be?

from what i saw, it's 1 pld, 1 whm, 2 brd, 4 blms. Nuke it down to 65%, stop, wait for plumes, burn her down to 3rd phase, continue burning. Brds focus only on 2 pillars.

Garuda pops plumes on a timer and will instead to Aerial Blast when below 65% or so. You try to burn her from 65% to below 40% in one of those gaps in order to bypass her second phase entirely, since it's full of heavy hitting AoE moves requiring quick reaction times.

Feel free to correct me, I've never actually cleared Garuda.

That's pretty much the idea of that part. Damage her to 65% > stop > wait for jump/plumes > try to drop her to under 40% (or is it 35?) to avoid the 2nd phase.

I can't tell during the last phase, but did they bypass the clones and continue burning Garuda?

Well not so much bypassed as simply ignored lol. Looks like the tank held all 3 while everyone else just killed Garuda.

It's actually not too different from my shells setup, the only difference is we have a DRG or MNK instead of a 4th BLM and we don't try to straight zerg her down after Ariel Blast we take out one round in Phase 3 then zerg her the final length of the fight.

You knock her down to 65% and wait till she does her next warp and summons plumes. It's a delay tactic people use to draw out the amount of time they have to nuke her down before she uses Ariel Blast and hopefully skip Phase 2 in the process, because no matter what she won't warp/prep Ariel Blast until her current Plume cycle has finished.

Probably does what I tend to do, just flash the entire bunch, use Hallowed Ground, Cover WHM, and Throw out Riot Blade at the first opportunity I get to let the BLM's nuke harder. (And yes Riot Blade does bring down Magic Defense as well, though it's not listed)

with an extra blm you still take 90 seconds longer than other LSs using only three. 'burn' indeed. and i hate to break it to you, but you're definitely not the "first to attempt"...

Is it impossible for people to upload a video to youtube without annoying/terribly overused and/or overrated music?

Isn't the "stall at 65% and skip phase 2" pretty much the norm now? This isn't new, at any rate.

We already know how easy/hard it is... what you're doing isn't new or original... its something that's already commonly done.

Well the way we do it is new to me so I say its new just on how you look at it all im saying is i don't care too much on people thinking oh this way is this and that its simple works and we do it well (that's it all the extra stuff that's just drama to make things look way more complicated then it is haha) if your offended by me saying its "New" then you truly just need to relax and take a deep breath and realize this is JUST A GAME. :D

Out of all the pugs i've joined and people I've talked to, I have seen nobody ignore sisters and zerg garuda in 1 min after 2hr.

geez. im so sorry this offended so many people. over the past week and a half or so....weve spent alot of time popping out dead in garuda. along with most everyone else ON OUR SERVER. dead. dead. oh, youre dead too? ok cool. last night as we were farming some weapons/totems there was still so many dead bodies over and over. i said hey fie, lets share our video. good idea right? no, now everyone thinks were dicks? wow. if the video does help anyone NOT pop out dead from garuda, great........... for the people that it angers...we apologize. nobody that i personally know had seen or heard of the exact way we were doing it, therefore we truely thought we were gonna help some peeps out by showing the video.

It's the attitude, not so much the video and 1 person can indeed reflect on everyone else.

Yes but the trick is you need to make sure you stop at 65% and when she ports back and lets her feathers go BOOM Go all out on here your brds keep tower clear and nuke hard ( then before 2hr make sure your whm AOE stones skin (all blms use there own Sang.right so they get the def. + and MP back tank grabs all 3 Pwn Garuda

To be frank, the plume management was terrible, BRDs wasnt doing good job, not a very good video for tutorial if that was your intention. People almost dies from Aerial Blast.

question. in the video, you guys stopped the...second time she did plumes or? at the 65% mark.
