help improve my war

i would love some advice to improve my war

Also I have felt bracers with 40str on them... should i be using those instead of cobalt mitt gaunt?


should i use electrum gorget +1 over explorers choker?

is war af head better than paragons crown for dd and tanking?

keep the explorer's choker for acc. you may actually want to switch out one of those rubelite ring for an electrum ring for more acc as well.

Other than that, I have a very similar setup. I just got a cobalt cuirass with 30 VIT and 34 crit attack power, which keeps me over the VIT cap, but adds more enmity via slightly more damage on crits.

You're pretty good for just about all content. You can do more melds and get the relic Axe to improve but I don't have much to add here. (I have same stats as you on DD WAR, but very different gear. :O)

Your pretty much set Count. I might try to push another 10 STR and maybe trade the FSS for a double Enmity melded cobalt plate belt on your Tank gear but other than that overall it looks good.

I wouldn't discount the Felt Bracers completely. If you find yourself missing, I'd always promote Accuracy over STR. You'd be surprised how +5-10 Acc can increase your DPS just by virtue of not missing a single WS and being able to fully use a combo.

That being said, if you're not missing, use the Cobalt Mitt Gaunts.

Interested to know how the AF Helm is better than Paragon's Crown for DD'ing.

That probably depends on how much STR, VIT and crit attack power you have.

Sort of, if your hitting your stat caps for the weapons your using that +10 Crit. Rate will probably benefit you more even if you don't have a high Crit. Atk. simply due to the side effects of Steel Cyclone, increased incapacitation ability, and healing returns from Rampage and Bloodbath.

+10 crit rate is only a 1.67% increase in the number of crits, so tbh it will have a larger affect on AA damage than any significant increase in the side affects of those skills, largely because those skills usually crit anyway.

Aye but they help guarantee they Crit. as well, besides that Stats will diminish or stop after that stat cap is reached so there's no real point in adding more beyond that.

I recommend Cobalt Hauby for Warrior over the Cuirass.

Cobalt Hauby (6STR, 6Atk, 6Acc) You should still meld it with Vitality though.

AF is better than Paragons for tanking, due to the bonus it gives to Antagonize.

cuirass do have 60 hp on them which hauby doesnt.

The cuirass also has 13 DEF over the hauby. If you have a solid pair of triple melded str gloves, the 6 str on the hauby may not amount to much.

The Cuirass does have more HP and Def than the Hauby, correct.

The reason I like the Hauby is because I don't find I need that extra HP and Def. The extra 6 STR, ATK and **Accuracy go a long way in creating Enmity.
